The draw was a FIX

Its not just a random guy on a thread saying "I think the draw will be this..." though. The thread was titled "Leaked Draw", and then he named it exactly right.

You show me a hundred threads indicating a leaked draw and then the person getting it wrong, then i'll consider your point...

As if I'm going to bother doing that! Every season we seem to get 'leaked' opening day fixtures that turn out to be bull****. Even if that was the only rumour of its type ever posted, it makes little difference - the point is 1% probability events occur every single day in all walks of life. Nothing that remarkable about it. If they trace back the source of the rumour and it turns out there's something in it, or if this guy gets it right again next season, fair enough, but until then it's likely nothing more than one of a truly gargantuan number of rare occurrences that happen each day.

Big deal. I'm not naive about the possibility of a fixed draw but this guy's post alone is not really evidence of anything.

If that was their agenda then surely the following draw would have suited better:

Chelsea or Fenerbache v Roma or Schalke

Liverpool or Man Utd v Arsenal or Barcelona

That would have 1) made it very like that Chelsea make the final, and 2) ensured that a Man Utd v Liverpool final did not happen.

He reported the "fix" story on Saturday (so you can probably figure out who the journo is) and he has researched the incident since. He says there was a two-fold UEFA agenda underpinning the CL draw:-

1. Abramovich and Chelsea, with their Russian ties, make the final in Moscow
2. a Liverpool - Man Utd final is avoided at all costs

He told me more stuff about the logic behind the Arse-Liverpool draw but I dont really remember.

He reported the "fix" story on Saturday (so you can probably figure out who the journo is) and he has researched the incident since. He says there was a two-fold UEFA agenda underpinning the CL draw:-

Well then UEFA messed it up just about as bad as they could, if this was a fix... Could go down as the worst match fixing in history!!

Also If they really wanted to avoid a manure Liverpool game surely they would have been drawn together at this stage.

Who cares i am happy with the draw and i think we will get through with no problem. Get a 1-1 at their place and beat them 2-0 at ours. I really think Chelsea will fall in Turkey for some reason we will meet Barca in the final and win 2-1. WE ARE THE KINGS OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL
