In regard to the ic post.
It is not mentioned that any order has been applied to the fixtures.
As I read it it's just a team list being issued - NOT an exact home / away fixture list.
The draw was, and is always fixed!
As is the FA / Carling / Everest / Wheatseaf Pub Challenge!
Why else do you think the CL was established?
Money and control...............that's all.

No, it didn't at all, look at the screenshot. It didn't even mention the 4th tie, its just assumed.Originally posted by Ballykissdevil View PostDo the odds not change substantiallly when you take into account the order of the draw? The post got it in perfect order.
We've done this about 10 times in this thread now

Do the odds not change substantiallly when you take into account the order of the draw? The post got it in perfect order.Originally posted by GypsyRed View PostLiverpool have a choice of 7 possibilities
Then look at the next team - they have 5 possibilities (two have been drawn)
Then the next - 3 possibilities -
7 x 5 x 3 = 105
1/105 = stiff odds but not impossible
Maths is the best I can do after five beers so it may look different sober

If it was fixed then i`m happy. We could have met ManU,Barcelona or Chelsea in a non fixed draw.

Wales have won the Grand Slam.
It is inevitable that Liverpool will win the Champions League.
And may I be the first to say R.I.P to the Pope.
Even Uefa can't fix that!

that FA Cup draw is shocking.
The look on his face when he says Man Utd says it all

I'm not bothered who we face, but I'm totally convinced that the draw was fixed. I just can't fathom out why? I would imagine that a Liverpool vs Man Utd final would be the last thing that UEFA would want, unless they want a bloodbath in Moscow and English teams banned from Europe for the forseeable future?

Here you go
1) Yes more than likely.
2) The Echo are summing up their options
3) UEFA have completed their very thorough investigation and concluded that the very successful "brush under the table as a joke" tactic is the way forward.

now thats my kind of fixOriginally posted by liverpooltj View PostWho cares i am happy with the draw and i think we will get through with no problem. Get a 1-1 at their place and beat them 2-0 at ours. I really think Chelsea will fall in Turkey for some reason we will meet Barca in the final and win 2-1. WE ARE THE KINGS OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL

been thinking hard on this one
if uefa wanted to "fix" the draw - what would their parameters be?
above all prevent an all english semi final line-up - which the draw achieves, however, one all english qf is statistically slightly MORE likely than not (trust me although i cant be arsed to post the mathematical proof) so this means little in the conspiracy stakes.
avoid unappealing ties like schalke-fener - duly done but this is also a 1/7 shot so hardly good evidence of a fix!
set up a "dream" final: which for them would be scum v barca - fails
avoid a man u v roma tie with bloodshed and controversy a real danger - failed again
so for me "fix" no but the fact the draw was known 1 1/2 hrs before suggests to me the draw is a sham and the actual draw - random i hope - is made before for whatever reasons. the fact that the bookies wont take bets on it supports that theory. their connections are better than ours.
bad draw for lfc??? no way, its a beauty
the hated scum will have to beat roma, then barca then to progress. remeber uefa dont want an all english final. man utd are in the way of this. if theirs any "fixing" afoot expect to see it in refereeing decisions going against our friends from salford. theyve got a mountain to climb.
we have to beat an arsenal side that looks very very nervy and will have the distraction of the title race. if we beat them, and i think we our favourites, we meet the chavs who we KNOW we can beat having done so in 3 semi's running.
none of that is certain but shagsters anti-liverpool view of the draw is wrong - we could have had an easier draw but of all the permutations possible this draw is in the favourable set for lfc.
