I don't like Andy Gray but I find this kind of protest a bit embarassing. Does nothing to counter the stereotype that we're a city which revels in feeling sorry for ourselves.

I don't believe anyone was, or could possibly cry at Sky. That would be silly, as would the suggestion that anyone would.

Notwithstanding this, there is a proportion of the populice who take all they hear on Sky from the "experts" as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth (the same people who, amazingly, read the S*n with the same level of belief).

It is not a case or "woe is me/us/them" it is a case of balance. It would be nice for a "washed up player of a mediocre team turned media football station be all and end all look at me I'm a guru" to instill a sense of balance, given that there are many who believe the deritus that spews asunder from his orafice.

That's all.
