that's the second time you made a comment like that about him. i'm assuming you have some evidence to back up these allegations?

If we go all season hammering the rest but keep getting shown up again the top 3 we will always be 4th. We need DIC asap to inject money into the club. Lets all hope they come in a rock the boat and knock united off their ****ing perch!!
A lot of the last 18 years has been down to Moores, I agree. There's a very good reason that he was not given control of the Littlewoods empire....because a businessman he is not. Still, in the spending stakes since the Premiership started we're 3rd or so and therefore should've won or came very close at some stage over the last 18 years. I can see what Rafa's plan is, but in this day and age you just don't get the length of time needed to lay the foundations and build. It still doesn't explain why he makes some of the decisions he does though, some of which are baffling.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

united have got such a psychological hold on us ... we looked frightened of them! we just don't believe that we can beat them. and on the flip side of the coin, the scum know they've got our number.

there was no movement and no real attempt to win any second balls. it was such a spineless perfomance. we had no captain on the pitch. and the only guy who looked to give a **** got sent off.

for the two mistakes he made, reina stopped them from tonking us four or five nil.

                this hurts so much

Get over it, there are too many hysterical people on here. We lost but even with 10 men we weren't out of it until late in the game. Mascher should have been more disciplined and the players around him should have sorted him out. I wouldn't be surprised if we got our revenge in Moscow in May, so get behind the team and the manager. Come on you Reds!

Nothing to do with tactics or referees, it is simply that they have more of the high end quality player, it's more than just having the cash too, the top top players have got to want to, or be prepared to come to liverpool fc, utd's 1st say 17-18 players are better than what we have.

Would Torres even have come TO lfc without the Spanish influence, i don't know. We need to be able to afford & then lure the very best to Anfield, we've made a start in that directon with Torres.

Would Rafa have bought say a player like Yossi, if he could have had a world class performer in the same role, costing treble maybe. It's all if's & but's i know, but we really need to bring these players in, soon enough hopefully for Torres & Gerrard to team up with them. No more wasted talent.

I thought Torres got little protection. It seemed fine for the Ferdinand and Vidic to pull and kick him all they wanted until about half way through the second half when he finally got a few decisions.

The ref seemed to be making a personal point with Torres' and Mascherano's (his second) bookings. It had little to do with the context of the game. Torres was calm when he asked why the decision had gone against him, and even Mascherano was too. As Andy ****ing Gray of all people pointed out, Mascherano only lost it when the mad second yellow was given against him. I think it's true that Stevie G could be more commanding in those situations.

I'm actually not as disheartened as a lot of others on here seems to be. We're still a little bit away from challenging for the title, but today's **** was as much about a ****o playing at being a referee and some bad decision-making from Reina (he made a number of great saves, but didn't show his usual authority when coming for crosses) as anything else. We need to improve, don't get me wrong, but you can't just dismiss some of the rubbish that went on today.

It ****ing sickens me that they could be one title away from us at the end of the season. That they came a bit closer to it today is the most horrible thing about that match.

                                1. Neither side were playing well up until the sending off.
                                2. The sending off crushed the players belief.
                                3. SG was poor but so were most players on the pitch apart from maybe Paul Scholes
                                4. Reina was at fault for the goals - yes he made some fine saves but his two errors cost us two goals. I cant complain about him too much though, he's been brilliant all season.
                                5. Mascherano got himself sent off. The ref was a prick but it was obvious that he was card happy so why approach him at all? Any decent ref would have called over the captain and said that Masch was on his last chance but Bennett is a authoratitive muppet so the player should have known better.
                                6. There's still a gulf between us and United - they can bring tevez and nani off the bench whereas we have benayoon. Laughable really.
                                Fernando Torres

I dont just love him, I'm IN love with him
