So why did Roman pay Styles a lot more money than he needed to before this season for the work he needed to be done?

Was it because he think that Styles is a nice guy and just gave him the extra money without thinking about it?
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

United are a better side than us, we have been on a good run recently but havent really played anyone Inter aside. When we looked at this fortnight of fixtures a few weeks back everyone had no expectation, ita amazing what some home wins can do.
Oh and Marky, drop the Gerrard **** he was no worse than anyone else and virtually everything positive we did produce came from him, he was in the box when the Masher stuff happened. Just because he didnt score from 40 yards doenst mean and i quote "he is a ****in disgrace". You have had a strange agenda against our captain for a while, if you think we would be better without him you are missing a sandwich from your picnic box, Jog on.
Agree about Bennett, don't believe he was bribed but he was poor. however i think it's about time ref's clamped down on back chat and all it needs is a couple of weeks of similar decisions and it will be over, but the bit that annoys me is that Ferdinand asked Bennett to book Mascher again after the first, somewhat harse in my view, booking, and he wasn't shown a yellow, why's that?

Also Ronaldo dived in the box in the last few minutes and no card, where's the consistency?

Finally on the match there's no doubt there are a better team than us but what has really p*****d me off over the last few years is that i can't recall them actually playing that well against us and scoring wonderful goals, we always seem to gift them something. Today was a prime example where Reina gifted them the first 2, their last was good but wouldn't have been scored if our heads hadn't been down.

Bribes or no bribes, we were second best today. Oftentimes when a teams goes down to 10 men it galvanises the remaining players and drives them to compete even harder. The saddest thing about the match today was that after the sending off, the teams collective heads dropped and we played the rest of the game as beaten men.

We are mentally fragile as a team.

The referee by far was a bloody joke. You are trying to tell me that every decision which is questioned by a player, he should be booked? **** off, I say.

Thats bloody ridiculous. There seems to be no consistancy by the referees. Chelsea hound referees as shown on Wednesday yet only Cole, who could have broken Hutton's leg, is booked. Here, Mascherano asks a referee, why Torres is booked and he gets booked.

Bennett is a ****ing cunt. That is all.

Let's take some positives out of the game.

We played well up until the sending off and at least showed some bottle for a change.

What Mascherano did was crazy but he has passion which is what we need more of, plus he'll never do it again.

Torres gave as good as he got today where as he got bashed around at Anfield in the last game, today he still got bashed but gave some back.

Kuyt and Aurelio both had good games and also the support from the Away fans was top notch.

We are suffering some major mental anxiety before playing Utd, we haven't beaten them in god knows how long.

We need to get that elusive home win against Utd and then the tide will change, it will give the team a lot more confidence to play against them away from home too.

They are a ****ing good team though, the players heads did drop but that was because Utd were just knocking the ball around, it was too easy for them. It would have been such a different game if Mascherano hadn't been sent off.

gerrard is a fantastic player, one of the worlds best but as a captain he's woefull.

no he was no were near the masch incident but it was plain to see after his 1st yellow that he was loosing it big time, gerrard,as our captain should of sorted him out long before the sending off, calmed him down, got masch's head back on the game, but he didnt.

i'd give the armband to carra and let him run with the captaincy for a season.

as a player there are few better (if any) but as a captain he's flawed imho.

                        We can always dream!

Until we get a home win against them we're going to struggle against Utd. It's bad enough losing in the league against the cunts I couldn't handle losing a European Cup Final against them.

                        I'd slit my wrists.

I haven't got the energy to go over old debates, points & reasons about the match - think we all have the same opinions really

But it was fooking hard work in the pub today where there was tonnes of Chelsea and Arsenal fans. Strangely, they cheered when United scored - work that one the **** out. Luckily there was only about three United fans. Didn't see any fellow Reds though.

Just want to forget today and roll on the next game.

the fact is we'll never know if the match was decided by bennet or not. we could have still lost with 11 men. it's in the past.

Steve Bennett didn't cost us the game.

A goalkeeping error, and an inferior team performance was responsible.
