How long before that happens remains to be seen but I think we are talking weeks rather than months imo
thats what i took from the interview.

the relationship is so unworkable that something has to happen, and hicks owning 100% is not an option.

it only leave one other scenario.

I think he will confirm the breakdown in the relationship and say he plans to fix it by buying GG out and that he did Veto the DIC deal.

Well Gilletts already said hes been given the opportunity to buy him out and failed to raise the finance within the relevant time period, so Hicks cant play that card again this is poker hes playing not fecking snap

Seems to me that the two of them are completely deadlocked and all the while the US economy is being flushed down the bog

My guess is Hicks is talking to DIC, who are sat there safe in the knowledge that they have Gillett already in the bag

I think all the public domain information clearly points to that conclusion

There has to be a reason why Gillett, who hasn't opened his mouth or been seen for months has decided to all of a sudden go public

Maybe it's the optimist in me but I wonder will we hear more from him publicly distancing himself from Hicks before he comes to watch the Arsenal game, so he would be accepted and "welcomed" more by the fans?

For the record, I do believe Gillett is the more honorable of the 2 and is the one who seems at least to have some sort of appreciation of the fans and the values of the club. Whether he stays on in some capacity or not, he will still always have to live with the fact that he brought Hicks to the table in the first but if he ends up doing a deal which helps get rid of him then (limited) kudos to him

                          mine too

I think hicks is trying to screw himself a mega deal and will sell in the end

I believe DIC could end this nightmare when ever they want, all they have to do is come out and say something concrete instead of leaking titbits through the media...

Coma on Ansari, Let the fans know whats going on Please.
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Bill Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: "Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!"

Yes thats probably a good call but Hicks being the big mouth that he is will come out fighting and say something to piss the fans off. On the surface he appears to be someone who would cut of their nose to spite their face but the financial reality means he is keeping the channel to DIC open. Its strange that DIC said they were willing to take a minority stake at the time but now GG is saying he wont be selling Hicks anything. And his comment about becoming buyer could mean he knows Hicks is in some financial strife?

dic said that one owner is out of dreamland and that they are just waiting for the other to also come out of dreamland. they're confident of what is to happen and are just sitting tight.

im almost enjoying the fact that as time goes by the us economy drains hicks of his financial power. all the while the record oil prices are boosting the funds DIC have to play with. Its painfully funny when you think about it. Well it would be if it hadn't undermed our season that is...

feeling positive that DIC will inevitably become our new owners. how long it takes only time will tell tho.
