Compare the manager's comments after tonight's game....

Rhoeder's comments were something along the lines of this (to the best of my recollection):

    - On Xabi's goal - Freak goal, and had Harper not slipped it would have been an easy and simple catch

    - On the game - we should have had penalties. I don't believe in this ball to hand rubbish. Shoala's shot was going straignt in, and it was the best save of the night.

    Then Rafa says:

    - Both teams should have had penalties. It was handball, and they should have had one, but Babayaro also handled and we should have had one two, but that's not important. What's important is that we won and created lots of chances.
    .....

Sour grapes from the manager of a team totally outplayed by us!
Rafa, as always, dignified in victory (as he generally also is in defeat).

    Rafa you legend!

Roeder came across as a right bitter old ****, while Rafa's dignity shows no sign of waning.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

        Roeder

They were poor, simple as. And our (not)penalty was more a (not)penalty than their (not)penalties
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue

What tale shall serve me here among
        Mine angry and defrauded young?

Roeder's being a bad loser there. How the hell was Xabi's goal a freak goal? He knew what he was doing and went for it.

The ball didn't pinball off five player's backsides then loop into the top corner off the referee's elbow like half of Chelski's goals did it.

Roeder will be fighting for his job soon if he doesn't get that team playing.

They have a few good players like Emre and Parker, but i fear for them. MO -

Yup, lost a lot of respect for Roeder tonight. Ironically, respect he'd earned in his handling of the Sunday game at West Ham. What a fickle prick I am :whatever:

Never liked that Roeder sour faced ****. We played them off the pitch today, did they actually have a shot that trouble Reina in the whole match? Didn't see the posession % but it must have been about 70% to us. We played some of our best football for months, totally controlled the game and could have had about 4 from open play, Garcia, Bellamy, Kuyt (again) all could have scored, and we could have had a penalty.

On balance if they'd got absolutely anything out of that game it would have been a travesty. Sour grapes, because he's **** team is falling appart, I mean that must be one of the worst defences in the league. Would love to see them go down, them and their 50,000 fans.

                  Okay i'm done.

Never mind the fact that we created plenty of clear cut chances while they created nothing from open play whatsoever.

He knows his team is mediocore, the evidence was clear tonight.

As a side note Scott Parker needs to get out there ASAP. He deserves a better club than that.

Well, he played Russian Roulette with his career and now he's paying the price

Quality player. Should be a regular for England now he's fit IMO.

I can't stand that **** Roeder. He must be up there with some of the worst managers working in the game today, I wonder how long it'll be before he's sacked?! He's also boring and lacks charisma. How on earth he can inspire 11 mento go out and fight for every ball is beyond me.

I can understand him being a bit annoyed not getting a penno but he should face facts that they didn't deserve anything from this game and were lucky we weren't as clinical as we could've been.
