Lucas was focused on defending in today's game. Nothing spectacular but if anyone has been noticing all his games he has an eye for a pass. He has the vision to split open the defence. Think Voronin today....

All he has to do is thread through one/two killer pass a game and I'm sure Rafa will be a happy man.

Lucas is being asked to play a very restricted role, I think Rafa is trying to teach him how to play the holding midfield role.

Lucas is a true box-to-box midfielder though. Let's hope Rafa unleashes him next year and you will see this:

we all know he'll be given another season, i just don't see anything special about him. sure as hell needs to get stronger though, brazillian player of the year or not

I'm sure he will get stronger, it's his 1st season & he's still very young, i for one don't think his debut season has been that bad.

Fair enough, we have some players who ain't up to scratch, but most are honest footballers, but these two take the ****ing piss.

Riise had a good game against Arsenal, he attacked down the wing which is not his natural role and constantly gave hoyte problems.

he gave us chances and should have made more of his but at least he was running across the defence tiring Toure and Gallas out. Well Done Riise

Pennant giving away a needless free kick sums him up. Should have never been signed.
Did the usual feigning injury after there goal when everything went wrong for him.
No loss when he leaves.
Riise has one of the worst touches in football at the moment. He does not have the heart for it anymore

Riise and Pennant should be sold, we need better players if we want to catch ManU.

Lucas is an excellent player but he need to play more or else it will take a game until he is match fit when he get the chance. He also plays in a position he isn't used to. The Gerrard position is the one he played in Brazil, a free box to box position.

That is the usual problem when it comes down to having a big squad, to keep everyone match fit so you can get out 100% from the player.
