Rafa- 'Rotation has worked'- or words to that effect...

OK, the topic has been done to death and is a bit dull....but, am i alone in finding this a bit alarming?

I thought the last few weeks had shown rafa had learned his lesson, the proof will be in next seasons pudding of course, but to me that doesnt bode well.

He is right though, our players are fitter than most other teams because there has been some rotation. I think you are being unfair.

Rotation DOES work, as long as you have got the players to rotate, which we still don't have.

From what I've read from the players, they seem to feel fitter at this time of the season because they have played less games earlier during the year.

If Rafa gets rid of some dead wood and brings in some quality then I'm all for rotation.

Resting Torres at home to Birmingham and only drawing surely is a reflection on the players coming in for example. We should be able to rotate key players against the lesser teams and still win. Other sides do it without much fuss. We just seem to make 5 or 6 changes every week. I'd prefer to see 2 or 3 changes and that is my only criticism of it.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Oh don't get me wrong, he is spot on. Although, so am i when i say that our chances of winning the league went up in smoke when he persisted with rotation after the dark day at pompey.

          here we go again

rotation does work, we just need the right players to rotate. ie players of torres/gerrard like greatness not pennant and bellamys mediocrity.

hopefully with a couple of key signing in the summer we will be rotating quality NOT resting quality and replacing with mediocrity, as rafa has been forced to do in the past.

so no alan, nothing to be worried about at all.

Can i just say that if we had better quality in our first team, like 2 world class wingers, half of the 12 draws would of probably be wins and we would of been right up there challenging for the title.

I saw it with my own eyes in the games against Arsenal. They are phisically drained and are stumbling to the finish line.

We were played off the park in the game at Anfield against them.At no point did i feel they were all over us in the last two game against them at the Emirates.

We do look strong and that has to be down to resting players at certain times.

Missing the point again. Over a 38 game league season rafa rotating costs us dearly. Or are we just happy with our season dying in january and restarting for 6 games at the end of march? I'm not.

Spot on mate. The problem is some people ( and I am not saying anyone in this thread) can not get this and think rotation is the route of all evil and you should play the same team all season which no top team actually does.

0-0 at sixth placed Portsmouth where United and Chelsea didn't win either.

We have had worse days than that!

The rotation did not cost us that, the lack of quality on the wings, not killing teams off and a lot of pens conceded did that.

It's down to the defence not playing to the whistle and waving their arms in the air like retards, and not being able to defend set pieces.
