Entirely speculation your post - fact is having Alonso, Mascherano and Gerrard in front of them would have made it more difficult to cut through us. An Arsenal four of Diaby - Flamini - Fabregas - Eboue, is always going to be much much stronger through the middle than out wide.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Awesome performance and it was great to see Gallas' eyes tearing up again at the end, although he didn't blubber like last time. He must ****ing hate Anfield. And isn't that just how we want it to be?! Bring on the Chavvies, not frightened of them in the slightest with Jabba the Hut in charge. I was nervous about the Gooners, but not these jokers. Tis a shame the first leg is at Anfield, but Essien and Cech are out so those are major blows to them.Spirit Of Shankly Member 399

Apart from Fabregas, who from Arsenal would make it into the Liverpool team????Originally posted by Dalglish View PostHe also said we're a three man team - only Masch, Gerrard and Torres would get into Arsenal apparently.
FLMAO!I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Of course just my view on the first 30 minutes, I dont think any team could have handled the way Arsenal played. We would have been stronger if we had all 3 in the centre but still think it wouldnt have made much difference with the speed and passing ability of Arsenal for that small period.

Agree with most of this, except I think he looks more like The Emperor than Jabba.Originally posted by RedsFan83 View PostAwesome performance and it was great to see Gallas' eyes tearing up again at the end, although he didn't blubber like last time. That was great. The passage of play at the end when they couldn't clear and just kept hoofing it up in the air about 5 times to a massive roar of 'hoof' was priceless.

Clichy comments on last night.
Clichy said: “We did well to score the first goal and to come back and get the game to 2-2. And at that point we were through. But what happened after that was really disappointing.
“To concede a goal like this, whether it is a penalty or not a penalty, may be disappointing but it is not unlucky.
“It is unreal to have had a chance like this, to score the equaliser and get to 2-2 and then to concede a goal only a few seconds after kick off. I can’t find the words for it. It is just ridiculous.”
Very well said young man.
