Firstly I would suggest caution here. This is the good news Hicks was promising. Well I still prefer to have Parry on the board cos his vote is more likely to be in the best interests of the club than Hicks.

Secondly, SSN suggesting Benitez is unhappy with Parry is speculation and what Rafa feels about losing that vote on the board we have no idea. Please disregard that bit of blown out of proportion made up nonsense.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

When he's gone, maybe he'll tell us about the situation with Thicks/Gillett/DIC and everything else that we've speculated about the last months.

This should have been down 10 years ago, But Hick's can't sack him with out the backing of the board and i feel he is out numbered.

Do we think this is Rafa strengthening this positiion at the club, more input in negiotiation?? or Hicks strengthening his position on the board, one less person to vote against him? As others have said he is a **** ceo but it's bad timing.

Its not in Gillette's interest to get shot of the clown.

I think Rafa is just playing his cards carefully, and he realizes that he has to side with Hicks if he is to stay and get the players he wants in the summer.

Hicks obviously wants one less vote against him on the board.

I'd have serious reservations if it was in the club's interests to get shot of the clown ......... at this time!!!

He has a vote on the board, he is bound to feel hugely responsible for the mess we are in at the moment and although I am not sure why I think as a Red fan he is going to do his best to "make it right" before he goes (he knows DIC will turf him at the first possible opportunity)

I am not a fan of Parry's in any way, shape or form but I would rather him & Moores on the board than not for now

I can see this rumbling on for a while. I doubt Gillett knew anything about it til we did. What happened to behind close doors eh? Sack Parry!

Just said in the other thread that Rafa's response here will tell us a lot. If he supports Parry being sacked then he is truly behind Hicks.

Not sure about that. Rafa will do whats best for the team and himself. If Rafa does indeed respond to it in a favorable way to Hicks, it won't mean that he's Hicks bestest pal.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

With the risk of incurring a major firestorm, isn't this a pretty good development? Many of us have wanted this for some time (basically anybody who has tried to buy something on-line from the club store). Which leads me to...

                            Torres
                            Babel
                            Mascherano
                            Skertel
                            Several reserve/youth players

All bought in the past year. Is Hicks really that bad? He and Benitez played hardball with each other and now seem to be on the same page.

Although this latest power struggle is not 'the Liverpool way,' it's pretty clear that the Liverpool way has seen us fall behind over the past fifteen years. Maybe we are simply witnessing the birth pangs of a new era of success.

So he's told Hicks to go and **** then, I'm not surprised. What an unnecessary and ridiculous day and can only be bad for the club. ****ing ridiculous.
