As many said he is doing well on the left of our current formation; however, he does look a natural finisher, the goals he has scored this season just look so easy. The last goal against Arsenal is a good example, after a fine take and run he didn't blast the ball like many players would, he simply passed the ball into the empty net.

He played extremely well in withdrawn striker role in the U21 European Championship final, creating the goals and got MOM. Ultimately, I would like to see him end up playing as a striker.

You missed out the main position, the one he's best in and the one he currently occupies - on the left or right of a 3 pronged attack, it's far more advanced than a 'winger' and is his best position IMO (either side although the left is better as he can cut in on his weapon of a right foot and unleash a can of off the scales mph)

i prob should have described the "left wing" or "right wing" role better. what i was trying to put forward was the role he occupies right now....the left or right of a forward three. it just that when we go with this system the wide players either side of torres do occupy the winger positions as well. The left/right wing option in the poll was meant to incorporate the left/right position of the forward three.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

          My thoughts exactly.

Play as a sub for most of the rest of the year. He clearly has more impact as a sub and it would allow him to finish the year positively. Work hard on him during the break and unleash him next season wherever!
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Up front with Torres - end of.
Rafa has slowly introduced him to English Football on the left side of midfield but I think he's now ready to play up front with Torres...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

In our current formation I'd like to see him play on the right wing. He's all right foot and is a bit too predictable cutting in the whole time to shoot. Play him wide right, let him hug the touchline and keep the full back guessing.

b4 coming on as a sub on tuesday he's been looking tired everytime he's started previously. agree we should play him as a sub for the remaining league games but should unleash him in europe against chelsea.
