At this point is this actually any different to the sort of daft mind games that the top managers indulge in? No better or worse than when Rafa and Fergie ask that referees 'protect the skillful players'. I know the target is different to a degree but I don't see why people feel so offended by the comments at this point.

At the same time I think it is ludicrous when people like Warnock continue blithering on about it once he can't possibly influence anything.

And especially when it makes him a complete and utter hypocrite.

Spot on. If i was rafa, i'd deliberately play a weak side, in the knowledge that it might help relegate dirty Bolton.

‘retain the integrity of the league’ .... pathetic, almost as bad as Warnock last year...

8ollocks, you've had the entire season to stay up.... we've got a champions league semi to try & win... couldn't give a 5hit if Bolton stay up or not

I have to laugh at this. They want us to get them out of trouble when they have had all season to do it themselves. Do you think anyone of them would give a **** if Gerard, Torres etc got injured in the remaining PL games and missed the semi of the champions league? Would they ****. Rafa should play who he likes, let Liverpool FC look after their own interests and likewise for the bottom 3.

For the record I think Rafa should rest the players that will start in the semi.

Absolutely. I would literally rest all XI of them.

            ........................Itandje
            ..Finnan......Arbeloa.....Hyypia.....Insua
            .................Plessis.....Lucas
            ..Pennant.........Benayoun..........Riise
            ........................Crouch

            That'd be my team.

Possibly but you have to wonder where the goal threat comes from...Crouch perhaps, if he's on it.

I'd also glue Benayoun to Crouch's arse, otherwise PC will get isolated and the 2nd balls will come to nothing if he's surrounded by Fulham defenders and no team mates.

That is better then our second string 3 years ago. Credit to Rafa.

You would have to keep Arbeloa, Finnan or Hyypia out. One of them is bound to start against Chelsea.

There's not really much option other than for those three to start, is there?

Yossi played beautifully around Crouch against Arsenal.
