I'm sure i read that Parry has been icy towards the new guys Gillette and Hicks bought in and this was also one of the reasons Hicks wanted him out.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostI don't know enough about the skills of these blokes, all I can say is that Marketing and Merchandise hasn't significantly improved since the Amercians bought the club, I know these things take time (and money) but we should have started to seen some signs of improvement by now. Who's to blame for this - I have no idea!
Parry is a tool and should have been sacked ages ago, it's partly his fault we're in this mess - he doesn't get any sympathy from me.We come not to play.

Just a thought but does the place on the board (and associated vote) go with the CEO's job currently undertaken by Parry?
Many fans have been having a go at Parry for the clubs merchandising inadequacies and transfer dealings over recent years, so I think that in that capacity someone else could do a better job.
Things are complicated by the vote that Parry has, as Gillette and Hicks are divided Parry and Moores hold the key votes on the board, getting rid of Parry and bringing someone else in is likely to tip the board in Hicks favour (or at least even things up).
If this really were about comercial development rather than power struggle then an interesting alternative could be to bring in a non-voting CEO, which could aid the clubs commercial development without affecting the boardroom situation
EDIT: Unlikely I knowThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

You really can't blame Parry for us standing still for so long. Moores is the one who made the decisions and he should have sacked Parry years ago for example.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I like the sound of a non-voting CEO but what are the chances!?'The tide is very much in our court now.'

I disagree with that, before G&H came I could walk into a sports shop in Northern Ireland and the only Liverpool merchandise that would be on offer was the shirts, socks and shorts. Now most stores often have a complete range including tracksuits, footballs, drinks flasks etc. with some stores having an entire section devoted to LFC.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostI don't know enough about the skills of these blokes, all I can say is that Marketing and Merchandise hasn't significantly improved since the Amercians bought the club, I know these things take time (and money) but we should have started to seen some signs of improvement by now. As crap as Parry is if he goes Hicks' position is strengthened as he has 1 less enemy and he would no doubt put a yes man in his place which basically means he would have two voices on the board.
If Parry went there would have to be agreement between Rafa, Hicks and Gillette over the new CEO and it must be someone who wouldn't just be a puppet for Hicks games.
