Out of the whole interview he nailed Parry spot on. The rest of it is bollocks.

I never wanted Gilette. The man is a muppet, and has done absolutely nothing since the takeover. I've never liked Rick Parry particularly, or I should say not knowing him personally, I've never liked the way he does his job. I was never all that keen on DIC, and to be honest I'm still rather suspicious. And then there's Hicks who seems to have an open mouth - insert foot policy towards PR, along with the rest of it. The whole thing is a complete mess.

The only person in this whole saga I've ever had time for is Rafa Fundamentally, whatever his flaws, it is absolutely imperative that he remains manager of this club. We have to have some stability there at least or all is lost. And I believe his relationship with Rick Parry first and foremost to to be virtually unworkable.

I'm not sure Hicks is the devil. I don't want him running the club particularly, but I certainly don't want this crazy joint ownership power-struggle lunacy. And I do want Rafa.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

I have no idea what they will do. My point was it is becoming apparant that they do not plan on supporting Rafa. If they do not make this public soon everyone will draw their own conclusions and this will hurt their popularity. How much, I don't know but it will.

Personally I hope they come out and offer him a 3 year extension, cos the 1 year extension is pathetic.

Starting to think that Jose is coming if DIC come in. No wonder your happy, DJ.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

The only things everyone seems to agree on are:

        1) Keeping Rafa.
        2) Parry's ineptitude has cost us dear.
        3) The whole thing is a right ****ing mess.
        4) Hicks is using 1) & 2) to his own advantage. People's opinions differ as to how much those advantages overlap with those of LFC.
        5) People are so sick of 3), they are willing to take the path of least resistance & accept Hicks are sole owner.

        Dreadful business, it really is.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Hicks knows that come end of May he will not have any power to stop GG selling his shares to DIC or whoever it might be. Thats the time when the 90 day pre-emptive rights expire and he is free to sell to anyone. This will really **** Hicks up.

Ad Lector has mentioned on so many occasions how would Hicks fund over 500m pounds buying GG's shares as well as financing the new stadium and clearing the club debt

On paper he is worth 1.3b dollars that works out to 650m pounds which most of it is leveraged, the cunt is just talking ****. What a PR stunt from his on his Sky interview.

I'm surprised Richard Keys and Andy Gray weren't interviewing Hicks the other night. Would really have summed up the situation nicely.

                          **** off Hicks

Surely this is as speculative as anything else? Nobody knows.

I dont think i'd read anything into the fact that they've not gone public with their 'support' of Rafa, why should they? They dont actually own any single piece of LFC so i dont see why they'd come out in support of Rafa or anyone else. It's not their style to talk about stuff that's technically not any of their business, they're not (yet) in a position whereby any support of Rafa would mean anything or carry any weight, so them not making it public is unsurprising.

One year extensions are par for the course in US sports, as far as i know. But then, this isnt the US. I dont like it either.

And who said i'm 'happy', that's a bit of a silly comment. I'm far from happy.

Good news, in the long term.

Once May is over, i think we'll see Gillett sell to DIC and Hicks must now realise this.

If I’m the majority owner I can put more capital in. I know of investors who want to be a minority investor with me.

                                Why is he saying this?
