Purely in terms of football, tactical acumen etc, I fancy us strongly but I have a nagging doubt based solely on the law of averages.

If we were told, say, five years ago, that we'd face Chelsea in three European Cup sem-finals, not many of us, if any, would've predicted three wins for us. In fact not many neutrals would predict three wins for Chelsea either.

Three out of three is a big ask but, taking the tie on its own merits, I fancy us to win.
5 years ago we had Houllier in charge so yes, your right, we wouldn't have predicted a single victory.

Now we have the best manager in Europe
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Tonight, 1 more time this season in the champions league. the KOP will roar us to victory again Bring on the chav *******s, for we shall prevail once again

I have full confidence in Rafa & the boys, but as the title of the thread would suggest, there are times when pessimism can lead to greater elation. I for one would admit that after Adebayor equalised I expected Arsenal to go through, but the boys didn't let us down and the feelings were reminicent of Istanbul let alone Olympiacos..!
His armband proved he was a RED. Torres, Torres.

I'll leave fredo to his mad-cap ideas, i'm not even slightly qualified enough to help him with his 'issues'.

Carry on fredo...the league means nothing, the earth isnt round, the ball is triangular and you speaketh sense
My opinion of this is that Chelsea have a better squad. This will take it's toll on a 38 game league season and the managers influence compared to the CL in lessoned (sp?). However in the CL the first team squad (17 players) is more or less what matters and the managers influence is greater, hence

Chelsea squad is better in the league, Liverpool better in CL. Mainly due to the genius that is Rafa.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I think we'll beat them tonight 2-1 or 2 nil and we'll draw 1-1 at their place. We'll beat them for sure.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I think it's from the TV serie V and V stands for Victory.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

You only think that because Rafa say it to you.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Of course Rafa tells me all sort of things

No, not really and you are deluded if you believe it.
