    Both games are finely balanced.

We controlled the game after the first 15 minutes without our three most influential players this season (Gerrard, Mascherano & Torres), playing anywhere near their optimum. If they can spark into life and get us that vital away goal, then advantage to us. A difference this season is that we will actually have 'possibilities' on the bench if the game is not going our way. Fingers crossed, we can do it.

United played a strange game last, actively conceding possession and leaving Ronaldo isolated, if they would have nicked a goal it would have been a perfect result. How much much will that game and the game on Saturday take out of their players? Barca need to wrap Messi up and keep him safe, he had the beating of the United defenders. The confidence of that little man, I can see him being the difference. Barca will always be capable of scoring, in my eyes, keeping the clean sheet in the home leg was key, again fingers crossed they can do it.

And never put your mortgage on ANYTHING in football. Remember half time in Istanbul?

What do you mean, at 100/1 you could've paid your mortgage off a 100 times. Surely that was the best time to put your mortgage on

        Mine:

Chelsea 3 - 1 LFC (Think we might get caught out chasing the game and not get what we deserve)

        Man U 0 - Barca 0 (Man U through on pens)

        Chelsea 1 - 2 Man U

          Chavs 2-2 LFC
          Manu 0-1 Barca

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I just can't seem to form an objective opinion about Chavs vs Liverpool.

I do think that Manure will be waiting in the final for whoever wins

I think we will lose 2-0

Man U will comfortably win at home.

Barca's defence is such a ****heap United can't fail to score against them. United won't be as secure next week given that they now have to actively seek a goal, but if Barca score 2, United will score 3 at home with all the firepower they have, the firepower that they kept chained up last night. Only Fergie stupidity in Europe can stop them now.

As for us, we are simply not set up to chase a game, frankly we're somewhat incapable and very laborious when asked to do so. We caught Chavski with that Agger set piece last year, but generally speaking we prefer to be 1-0 up and dictating the game. We'll have to do an awful amount of huffing and puffing just to eke out a single goal at the Bridge and at the same time keep the door closed at the other end, a tough ask as our defence isn't as secure-looking as other years.

But the biggest factor of all? Luck. Chelsea have had none against us in Europe and it has to flip over some time, the own goal was the start of it. That's why I fear we're going out and United are going to win in Moscow.

i can see your points breffin but tbh im convinced that we are a different side since rafa played this formation. we play well and score goals home and away. chelsea go into a home leg confident and ahead. they couldnt even blow fenerbache away at home, they arent good leading a tie.

we were very unlucky at home for sure, but i think that over 2 legs, it'll even itself out.

we can beat them away now im convinced of it. its set up for it.

im convinced we can still go through but if it does look like we will be heading out i would much rather we conceded two or three goals iafter having a real go playing decent attacking football instead of being cagey and going out on the away goals rule. that'd just hurt too much. but like i said, we can do it. of that im sure

Actually. If we all got together, through the forums, SOS, etc and then waited until they score the first.

                              Wait.

We should get 50/1+, then we all bet the mortgage on us at once. This would represent a massive shift in wealth to Merseyside, well at least half of it.. We would be able to buy the club off Stadler and Waldorf

Obviously Rafa would be in on this and will want his %

we played them twice at the bridge this season and i thought we played well , without torres for both games, and a make shift 11 in the carling cup. we will do them . ynwa
