    Imagine this...

Tomorrow night, from 7:30pm, you are ABLE to watch the game, but for some reason, you decide not to.

You go and play on your PS3, or you watch a DVD....or you read a book.

Tv & radio switched off, phone off, no hint of the game going on...

How mad would it drive you and how long dya think you'd last?

Impossible. Even if I managed to do it, I'd probably stop it after a few seconds and turn the T.V on.

Couldn't cope but I imagine it would be only marginally more stressful than watching the game. I'd ****ing love to be there tomorrow, singing like my life depended on it.

My mates and i used to try and do that every saturday and just watch the highlights on match of the day without knowing the score, never worked though so doubt that would either
          Couldn't do it.

Not possible. Why would you want to do that anyway, the emotional roller coaster is better than crack

Do you get the feeling, even though you obviously cant influence the game whatsoever, that it's 'more risky' to not watch it?

I sometimes have this bizarre feeling. Like, "Oh it's still 0-0...i better turn the telly on before we go a goal down"

Few years back, before i went to the games, i used to sit upstairs with Soccer Saturday on and when it seemed like we were close to being in trouble, i'd go and watch it downstairs just to 'make sure' we'd be ok

I think it comes from one time where we were either losing or drawing with seconds left and for some reason, i had to go downstairs, so once i got down there, i stuck the box on and within about 5 seconds, we scored

Naturally, i'm aware that nowadays, i cant produce those moments of influential magic....

I now live in a flat

I have no idea how you were able to do it. But, if that's the effect it has, be a love and never do it again, eh?

Its like when we concede a goal and you turn over or turn the tv off because your pissed off and dont want to see replays of it. Then about 10/20 secs later your back on just incase we somehow scored from kick off

Totally know what you mean. I always feel better listening to the radio than watching it because somehow we always seem more likely to score on the radio!
