Such a monumental bit of news awaits you - how would you want to hear about it?

Imagine if you turned on and it was the advert break!
        I'd check the forums.

BBC news is slightly out of date whereas people post here pretty much seconds after things happen.

Also, if we lost I'd rather be 'around' fellow LFC fans.

It couldn't be the TV; what if we'd lost and I saw Fergiescum celebrating? Or worse, an ad break?

I'd only check at like 11.30 though. What about ET and pens?

Tv & radio switched off, phone off, no hint of the game going on...

How mad would it drive you and how long dya think you'd last?
cant take anymore, when at the game no nerves at all, Tv AND RADIO nervous breakdown heart attack totally stressed, and my wife and daughters feel the same. with both girls at uni my wife and i have bravely decided to go out for a meal with no mobiles on and no tele where we eat. i know it sounds childish but had this dream if i do it we will win. ps nandos tomorrow and the ritz on the final.

We all knew the date for this 2nd leg, there's no excuses. I'd have pushed the father in law down the stairs and done a belly-flop onto him just to make sure.

I know what your saying, unfortunately the date of his 60th has been known for a little while longer.

What can you do though, the man will have 1 60th birthday whereas CL semi finals seem to be 10 a penny for us these days.

The good news is last time I missed a CL match was Olympiakos in the group stage in 05

Change the date in his watch. Move it one day back, he won't notice.

                      Ha ha ha

On the flip side, he'll only have one 60th birthday, but the clue's in the title '60th birthday'...he's had 59 of the feckers already, the selfish get!

Dave & I did a deal with God that who ever scored the winner against Olympiakos we would name our first born after... Bethany Alice Stevie was born 5/2/08.

I've taken alot of stick but am happy that the Gods of football have now been appeased... so I'm expecting number 6 & decent owners..

                        Cheers

I have in th past purposely paused a live match. I do this when we are either holding on to a 1-0 lead or 0-1 down and trying to get an equaliser.
With about ten minutes to go, which are always the worst, I pause the game and then wait for about ten minutes.
I then fast forward at full speed just watching the score on the screen. Its great when your hanging on to a 1-0 watching the clock counting down going like the clappers
Wait for the final whistle, if we held on I then rewind and enjoy the last ten minutes knowing th result
Likewise if we're losing I fast forward so that if we don't equalise I at least won't have to hear the final whistle (and cheers of the opposing fans)
Last time I did this was the West Ham FA cup final and saw the celebrations of Stevies late wonder goal and the lads running round like something out of Benny Hill
Then rewound and watched THAT goal several times more

Tend to go the pub for the really big games (like tomorrows) these days as it was getting silly at home

also, have never yet been able to watch us in a penalty shoot out
Go out in the garden wondering around in a right state and get the spot kick outcomes relayed to me by my wife who funnily enough can't stand football but loves penalty shoot outs, bloody thirsty bitch

                            Keep this quiet
if you carefully grind off the edges of a 50p coin you can use it as a 10p
