Torres was out of it, he brought on Babel who then went on to score. How is that a bad thing?

I thought Chelsea deserved to win this game, just as we deserved to win the first game.

I think people miss the point when they say Gerrard doesn't show up against the best teams. In fact, the best teams have a plan to counter Gerrard and we do not have enough creativity elsewhere in the team to take advantage of a team that defensively is focussed on stopping two players (Torres and Gerrard).

I hope we will strengthen the squad in the summer, but rather than concentrate on defensive positions I would prefer the money to spent on making us offensively more of a handful so that it is more difficult for a team to nullify our threat. (I think that is the main reason why the gap between us and Manure seems so big.) Having said that we did score two and might perhaps have had a third.

Oh well. Another year, another chance.

I'm not sure we can improve defensively. Hence, we should spend as much as possible on the attacking positions + a replacement for Xabi.

Am struggling to understand what happened in extra time. I really thought when torres got the goal that we would step up a gear. It never happened. When we got to the first period of extra time it was as if we were just hoping for penalties to arrive. Obviously chelsea had different plans. I didn't think chelsea had that in them to be honest. We have rode our luck a lot this season but as sooon as jar scored that og last week it ran out. I just pray that DIC come to the rescue because to compete with the mancs and the chavs we need to bring in quality players in a number of positions.

I disagree that Chelsea deserved to win this leg. Makelele was immense and did a proper job on Stevie.

Would like to mention that Grant has received some unneccesary criticism this season, but he made a right **** of himself at the end.

Don't disagree that Kuyt was not very influential, but it was obvious that Torres needed to come off.

I like Lampard. Treated like **** by clowns from all over and barely bats an eyelid, just gets on and lets his footy do the talking. Fair ****ing play

I couldn't watch I turned over as soon as the whistle went. What did he do?

I am clapping for both sets of players. Tremendous game, classic European tie. I am not bitter or heartbroken but after equalising with Torres, it does feel gutting but hopefully the players will feel more hungry next season and Rafa will now realise which players are good enough for his team. And so does the owners (but thats another debate for another day)
