Mark Hughes or Martin O'Neill I personally believe would do a better job in the Premiership than Rafa given the squad we have now and the resources at our disposal.

Both good solid managers - never seen anything very special about them.

          Harry Redknapp is better.

Short term, but you're still looking at struggling for fourth!

The PL is a nut to crack in Rafa's head. I'd much rather have someone who digs our ethos & learn his trade with our respect.

Kudos credits to the power of ten.

            That's the Liverpool way!

We didn't win the title therefore the season was not a succcess.

It's nice to eat jam (European Cup) but you need some bread and butter (the title) to put it on.

Until we win number 19 I won't be satisfied with anything less.

This season hasn't been a good one overall but tbh I'm satisfied with the effort and the game tonight. We played well, competed with them all over the park were a little unlucky in one or two moments and could've won it just as easily as they did.

If we're looking at the whole season then I'll tell you we should have atleast have reached third place with this squad and our manager but things didn't click immediately. It's a funny one but even though I'm a bit disappointed with being knocked out there's no doubt shame in getting knocked out to a quality outfit (or any other team) in a semi final of the CL. It's going to be a second trophyless season but I've seen enough to believe we'll be in a shout for one or two titles next season.

I believe 5 or 6 players may leave.

These players will need to be replaced.

Replaced with quality, proper ****ing quality.

We just have to start closing the gap, the new stadium isn't far away and Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal will continue to get better. We have to stay with them and try in time to surpass them.

It seems to be the same at LFC every summer but this really is a biggin. All the off field **** must be sorted and thus making it easier for Rafa(it better ****ing be Rafa) to get at least 3 quality players in.

That's my take on it all anyway.

In defeat, we come back stronger.

If we're being linked with Barry and Bentley I don't believe that will improve us at all

                        Positives for me

                        1:Torres
                        2: CL win against Arsenal
3: The way Babel has ended the season.

                        Negatives

1:Far too many home draws from an overly cautious, too clever by half manager.
2: 5 or 6 changes to the side every week in the early part of the season until we stumbled upon a formation that half works and plays more to our strengths.
3: Not even challenging for the league at the latter part of the season.
4: The shambolic in-fighting behind the scenes with the owners.
5: Dirk Kuyt will play every week regardless of performance level.
6: Crouch cannot get a game regardless of performance level.
8: The feeling of impending doom that we will never ever compete for the league with Rafa in charge.

All in all a poor season for me that promised so much at the beginning of it and im happy for it to end and to start thinking about the next one

My problem with us is that we end every season leaving me thinking that we've turned a corner. From where we were at one point this was a remarkable turnaround. The new formation makes us look pretty damn good but its clear its played to suit xabi mascher gerrard and torres only - leaves likes of crouch & pennant useless as starters.

Its a young first team a couple of years from its peak - I can't help feeling optimistic. New signings torres babbel mascher and skrtel excellent.

And we miss out by a nat's cock to a team that spent 1/2 a billion £££ ovre the last few years. Given our team investment, can we have expected any more? It seems we should have. No, we have over achieved for all of Rafa's years and we need to rally round him now the candle has dimmed this season.

Without Rafa this club would be seriously lost. We have a world class manager, one of the few around. Sure he isn't perfect, but we could have sunk without a trace this season without him as the glue holding the club together.

I actually believe that Rafa has taken us closer this season than ever before. The reason so many people are disappointed with the league position is that we see the potential in that team for just a bit more. The team that Rafa's put together and led through some really dark times into a position where we're actually playing some good stuff and looking genuinely capable of competing with the best in the league. There is no reason at all why, with some sensible purchases built around a team and formation we now know actually can work, under Rafa's leadership, we cannot make a genuine tilt at the league next season.

We've had some huge games and some huge moments over the last few months, its been a rollercoaster certainly and in the end, losing like last night always leaves a bad taste, but imo we have plenty of reason to be optimistic where matters on the pitch are concerned.
