    but wait...

I love how you state this all as fact (despite contradicting yourself). Would you care to post copies of the bank accounts up here so we can all check the maths?
Dya know, i've never seen you post in a non-provocative manner. Why is that?

I never once said i was blaming the manager, but far be it from me to express some frustration in the midst of having been knocked out of the CL, eh?

I suspect you partied the night away...

So, at the 3rd time of asking, the most expensively assembled squad in history manages to knock us out of a CL semi-final in extra time, and still needed an OG, offside goal & for us to have a blatant pen on Sami disallowed to do so. They’ve had a ridiculous amount of luck. On the way there we beat the Italian Champions & “best footballing team in Europe” TM & recorded the biggest ever victory in the competition’s history, I don’t even need mention the last 3 CL campaigns.

Don’t give me this rubbish about GH’s record being the same as Rafa’s in the Prem. It is no coincidence that English teams have begun to dominate Europe since Rafa took over- the benchmark in the league has been moved sky-high since the Chavscum revolution. We have had to improve massively to stand still. We’ve struggled a bit domestically this season, but then have had unprecedented off the field bollocks to cope with.

Despite the result, last night’s performance by the team and manager made me proud once again. So much so that I am immune to any winding up the Mancs here will give me- cos I know we were unlucky & so do they.

Then our “fans” have the nerve to slate Rafa. Gimme a ****ing break
      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

so, we lose one game of football, and it's the managers fault?

we're all frustrated, but this knee jerk reaction is getting daft.

in a perverse way, i'd like rafa to leave, and someone like martin o'neil take over, completely fook us up, just to please some daft ****s, we call supporters.
        Reece, get off my wife.:whatever:

I know what you're saying DJS but if we've only spent the same money as Man U and they were miles ahead of us when Rafa came in how is he supposed to bring our squad up to their level with the same amount of cash? Surely for that to be feasible we have to spend more than the mancs just like Chelsea did as we are playing catch up?

I still feel Rafa will win the Prem for us in the near future no matter how much of a kick in the balls last night was.

Invited them forward to win it, even. That's the difference, do you have a winning mentality or a 'hang in there' mentality ? We have a 'hang in there' mentality.

Just like they say, when you're at the top, you strengthen...it's the same in a match, when you're on top and have the momentum, you go for it and kill the game off. Well, that's what the best teams do anyway.

At 1-1, they were on the ropes, one goal and we've won it. ONE goal, that's all. I would've brought on Crouch AND Babel and gone for it. Sure you can leave yourselve vulnerable, but that one goal leaves them needing two more.

Sorry rafa, i'm not calling for your head or anything of the like, but sometimes you have to recognise the situation and go for it. And you need to have balls. He got it wrong, didnt have the balls to go and win it and that's what happens.

We'll be there again in the next 2 years though, i'm sure of that...and Rome or Madrid will be far easier, cheaper and sweeter. You cant get to the final every year and 2 in 3 years is the kinda stuff that spoils fans. I think there'll be more to come from the boys in red.

We'll move on, the priority now is to get the yanks out, get DIC in, regroup and launch an assualt on next season.

                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The point I was attempting to make was that you bang on and on and on about this net spend bollocks. No-one other than the club's accountants and bankers knows. It's ****ing dull, as I am sure is my constant picking you up on it

There you go though - the joys of the internet

By your logic, we dont know that the mancs or Chelsea have spent what they have - have you seen the 'books' ?

I have no axe to grind at all, i dont think i've been over the top, hostile or anything like that, i'm quite philosophical about it. I think he should've been braver at 1-1 but that's just not him and as i've already said, you have to take him as he is or not at all.

There's no point in people banging on about how they're so much better funded than us then.
