    Most disappointing signing

I just wondered, who people regard as the most disappointing signing... In other words, who diden't live up to your expectations, this can be because of the hype, price a combination or what else...

this is NOT a thread for the worst signing, but the one that has ended up disappointing you the most.

Know this isen't a fruitfull debate / discussion, just curious as to who and why...

I will start out by saying Morientes... I had great hopes for him, he was great at Real, we signed him fairly cheap looked like a signing that would make a major impact. Also showed me that we where in it for the big names as well. Never quite made it, he wasen't bad but just diden't cut it.

David James. I think he cost us a couple of titles with his ridiculous howlers

Harry Kewell ( not sure of the spelling as I've rarely seen it on his shirt on the ****in pitch )

remember one of his last goals for Leeds away at Arsenal and really thought he was going to something special for us

unfortunately only impression he's made at LFC is on the financial balance sheets

he was MOTM in one semi, Chelsea FA cup at OT ?? apart from that little to look back on

        Keep this quiet

Morientes for me too. Was absoluteley made up when we signed him and for only £6m too. The guy is a class striker and I though he'd be massive for us. Oh well!

Harry Kewell - another 'final piece in the jigsaw' signing that never quite worked out.

I thought the same about Ince.

Kewell is a close second for me as well - was incredible at leeds, but has done so little in the red shirt.

              So much wasted potential!

Kewell must be gutted that he is not going to get to play in the final

xabi alonso is starting to creep into this category for me. started so promisingly but has been borderline ****e for the best part of two years. for someone who is supposed to be one of the classiest midfielders in europe, we have to be disappointed with his form overall i think

                    Morientes easily IMO.

Interesting take on it... never really considered Alonso for this category because of his past brilliance.

He might end up on a list in a few years???

                        Morientes without any doubt.

I thought he was going to be the catalyst for a Premiership win.

I also thought Cheyrou was going to be a great signing given the hype. How wrong was I!
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Heskey, especially after his first season when he started to score goals. He was a waste at £11million.

I know people go on about his contribution to the team, but when he was lone striker he should have scored more.
