Thats ridiculous Nic. The key to keeping clean sheets is the keeper, then the defense. Just because we have a good defence doesnt mean the keeper is irrelavent. The defence can only play with confidence if it has a Keeper that it trusts.
That is why we have had to chop and change so much over the years. James, Friedel, Westerveld, Dudek all had talent but made erratic decisions and never gave the defence peace of mind and belief
Reina is commanding, controlling and a fantastic keeper. The defence trusts him and can rely on him. He might have 1 bad game a season but thats it really which is totally fine
Keeper (Pepe atm) always plays an integral part in the defence. You are trying to raise a point that our defence is very good and basically "anyone" could the the job, I simply disagree

I'm sure ****e keepers have won this award in the past.
Goalkeeper of the season is the real award, they are all on level pegging for that. I don't know how many times Reina has won it.
Really? That just shows that you really don't know anything about football whatsoever.
Let me explain,
Rick Parry is a 50 something year old chief exec of a football club called Liverpool fc,who has no experience playing in top flight football at all.He wouldn't,through lack of experience, training, fitness, agility and age, physically be able to compete.
Pepe Reina is at 25, a top class goalkeeper, playing in goal for Liverpool FC,one of the top clubs in Europe. He is considered by most to be in the top 5 goalkeepers in the world who has recently been awarded a prize for yet again keeping the most clean sheets in the domestic league(namely the Premier League) his team,Liverpool FC,competes in.
You have no evidence to back up your theory that Rick Parry would be at the same level of performance as Pepe Reina.I have no evidence to back up the theory that they aren't apart from facts.
I'll go with facts.
Nic is talking ****e. However, if i get accused of posting with a patronising tone, i think you've just taken my gold medal
2008: James
2007: Van Der Saw
2006: Given
2005: Cech
2004: Friedel
Case closed, the golden glove means **** all, I'd say one of that lot got the 'golden glove' in the season they won keeper of the year, that 1 being Cech.

Case closed.
You're such a tit aren't you. In fact you've gone over the bellend threshold to the point where you're just comical. I like you, wanna be Est buddies?
"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.
