I'd like to back up Harvey to an extent about Kewell's arrogance, or lack of. I've not met him, but a colleague of mine has when the Leeds team circa 2002 were staying in the same hotel as her. Apparently Kewell was a very amiable and friendly bloke, willing to sign autogrpahs for the kids etc, while Viduka the **** was telling anyone who bothered him (even 7 year old kids) to **** off. Admittedly this was a long time ago, so things do change.

Apart from that, I'm glad to get rid of him. I've always been willing to give Kewell the benefit of the doubt, mainly because I've always rated him so highly as a player, but this season is the straw that broke the camel's back. He's been truly abysmal when he's played this season, game in Marseille aside. If he's always injured, and completely **** when he does play, then we need to cut him loose obviously. Let's face it, in 5 years he's offered little apart from being a drain on the wage budget.

            He actually said:

"I didn't put my hand up to get injured. It's a shame because I haven't done nothing wrong."

He clearly accepts he was a failure if you read the full article but also knows that it was entirely not his fault, injuries took his LFC career from him.
He was constantly injured, yet fit to play in the LFC finals (2xCL, 1xFAC, 1xLC), and in Australia's biggest games (WC qualifiers, and WC itself). THis is what gets people's goat.

He picked up an injury in the FA Cup final 2006, went to the World Cup that summer, came back and has hardly played since. Did he go to the WC crocked?

Kewell is class. Didn't show it for us due to injuries. Let's hope he performs for whoever he ends up with up. No argument that he is an edge of the seat signing at his best.

                Good luck Harry!

I used to love him as you can see from my username but the cunt can go **** himself now. I don't know what he was offered but he was lucky to be offered anything in my opinion and he owed Liverpool that much.

Break a leg Harry (and i mean that literally)

He was asked to play in those finals by Rafa and what was there to lose considering the summer was straight after, and if he cared more about Australia than LFC why would he have made himself available for Athens after such a long period out when he had important Australia games coming up?

Let's just face it Harry Kewell was ****ed no matter what he did as people expected so much of him and he hasn't delivered. It obviously means nothing to most that injuries have completely prevented him from doing so. No matter what he did in the situations you have described above he would have been ripped apart by some.

Dont make me laugh. You haven't a clue mate.

Go look at how many games he has played for Australia in his career (he played his first game in 97 )

What i dont get, is that everyone wanted him gone......yet now he has rejected (supposedly) a contract everyone is up in arms about it.

Make up your ****ing minds you fools

If you read the article in the tone that I did you see he is not going on about not getting games/chances but that because his legs have the strength of dry pasta he wasn't able to show his full potential and that is the showing Rafa and the supporters, not a "this ul learn em" type of situation that a few seem to have gotten the impression of.
This is the problem with the written word unless it is written well there is no tone.
                                You learn nothing reading signatures.
