I'm just worried now in terms of next season and so on, i fear we'll be cut adrift in the race for the Premiership title by Christmas, it seems the money isn't there to spend big and it's sad it seems we have to sell quality players(Crouch, Alonso)to fund our own transfers.
To be fair Marky, we're all well aware of the situation and I don't think bleating about it makes things any better, or projects an image of us a club that is prepared to rise to a challenge. There is an element of total despair in your tone and I understand that this wasn't the end to the season we all wanted, but what good is it going to do if we just sit around moping about it?

We need to bite the bullet and deal it at this moment in time. The scum got what they wanted this season, but **** it, they nearly didn't. It's not exactly like they ran away with the PL or the CL is it? Come on Marky lad, we have some of the best players in the world playing for the side, players that the mancs would LOVE to call their own, we have untold potential to fulfil and nobody knows what is going to happen over the next three months.

Today has been a difficult day, admittedly. But I'm still glad I don't support those classless *******s, and remember, even after last night they are still in our shadow. We just have to keep them there, and there's no reason we can't Marky.

Yeah, good post dude and you're spot on. Just today it's all getting a bit much, put the tv on it's all about last night's match, same on the radio, football websites etc, it's starting to hit home but i'm sure it's the same for all Liverpool fans, as well as Chelsea etc. Not nice but that's the way it is.

We definetly have alot going in our favour like you say, genuinely world class players in the squad but hopefully there will be a few players to go along with what we already have.

Like Nani the show pony and Anderson who cant get on the pitch?

I dont rate Nani at all but Anderson looks like a good prospect but he doesnt get played nearly enough times.
There isnt that many gems out there and 100m notes would never buy another gayboy so I'd be surprised if the Filth sold him.

          That's more like it lad

I've been avoiding every form of sports media (bar Est!) today. All the images and nauseating proclamations of Utd's brilliance are designed to make you feel like you do, but don't fret. It'll be forgotten about in a week or so, unlike Istanbul which everybody still remembers as the best final, **** it - game of football, ever. Imagine how the scum felt on the 26th of May 2005!! We'll be back with a vengeance la, don't believe the hype.

Watched 20 mins of the match last night then fell asleep ... That's how much it was boring !

Couldn't be bothered really, even if they won. They're still 'behind' us and am not concerned in the slightest they'll catch up.

Me neither - Xabi has fallen well short of Crouch over the last two years.

He was never gonna catch up with Crouch's 7 foot.

Does anyone remember Febuary 1991? (No, not you Marky. You were still a little fishy wishy floating in your daddys nut sack at the time)
Besides Heysel and Hillsborough, the 21st Febuary 1991 was one of the darkest days in our history imo.
I remember that day so well. It was the day that King Kenny gave up his crown as the King of the Kop and we have never been the same since that day.
Managers have came and gone. **** players have played and gone, and thankfully for the first time in 17 years we actually have a manager who with the right funds could challenge for a title that is harder now to win than when King Kenny was at the throne.
Also, like someone else has already said, Slur Alex will retire soon and the United house of cards will start to fall one by one. Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Van der Sar will retire soon and even if they sell Ronaldo for £100m, it couldnt buy them 5 players (ronaldo included)
A new manager will come in there, possibly Queerez, and he will have his own ideas, just like Souey did for us. This is were you will see the downfall. Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo (if he;s there)Vidic and Ferdinand are all Fergies Babes and will more than likely wanna be moved on just like Drogba, Lampard and Carvalho at Chelsea since Maureen has gone and just like Torres, Reina, Xabi and Mascher if Rafa was bombed out.
I reckon Fergie knows his dynasty will be ****ed when he's gone so he's trying to hang on in there until he can at least match us in League titles. I think the European Cup is important to him too but he would settle with more titles than Liverpool imo, then he would hang up his whiskey bottle and **** off upstairs and we wont have the unpleasantness of seeing his big fat purple whiskey nose gracing our screens every ****ing night on ****e Sports News.

It really was a terrible game in the first half-an-hour. It did pick up after that, but it wasn't exactly the classic it was being hailed as (but who'd have thought that eh? ).

I have ignored absolutely everything to do with the game (before and after) other than the game itself.

Surely no-one is hailing it as a classic?!? It got a bit feisty and a bit interesting, but a classic?!?!

I haven't read anything myself (hence use of past-tense 'was' ), but I would be flabbergasted if Sky weren't bigging it up to ****.

Personally, I thought both teams demonstrated their classlessness to the best of their ability; it certainly wasn't a 'sporting' exhibition.

I changed the channel soon as Van Der Sar saved Anelka's penalty. I haven't watched the probable wank fest on SSN or read anything the journos wrote in various newspapers. I'm in denial.

I'm not in denial, but I've not even touched BBC today, let alone any other media outlet.

FFS. You get enough of this **** on tv without Marky having a Manc love-in. They won. So ****ing what. If he spends £50m-£60m every summer on a couple of players he should have won more than his 2 European Cups that he has done. We won it with the likes of Traore and Josemi. They've got £10m + players in every position.

So what they're close to our records. They haven't matched or gone past them yet have they?! Reading some threads on here can be right depressing at times. We ain't won the title for 18 odd years or something, yet they still haven't overtaken us. Take the rough with the smoothe.

For me Rafa is trying to buy the right players now, attacking full-backs and a striker. They may not be household names, but if they can do a half-decent job then we'll challenge for the title. Our main problem has been square pegs in round holes. If we have the right players in the right positions, ......watch out

They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!
