Harry Kewell's representative has refused to comment on claims that the Australia winger is set to sign for Celtic.

Reports on Thursday morning claimed the Scottish champions were prepared to offer the former Leeds player £40,000 a week to join the club.

Bernie Mandic, Kewell's personal manager, declined to comment on the player's future.

Kewell will be released by Liverpool this summer after a five-year spell at Anfield which has been largely ruined by injury.

The 29-year-old has recently been linked with moves to teams including Portsmouth and Juventus.

          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Never have I been as let down by a Liverpool signing.

Can't help but shake my head and picture what could have been.

                  Shame, bye Harry.

He was the 3rd highest earner at our club on £70-75k per week, The clubs wage bill alone has just dropped by over £3.5m a year now he has gone.

No he didn't asked to be injured and no it's not his fault but the fact of the matter remains.

He is milking the club of some serious funds which could be put to better use.

Of course not. No more than you asked to be bad at spelling!

Seriously though, I think what winds most fans up about Kewell, is that at the time we thought we had really come up trumps with the quality of player and the price. we thought we had pulled off this major coup.

It has been total frustration for the fans (as well as Harry) that he hasn't been able to fill his potential at the club. The frustration over the years has turned into resentment, as is only natural because he really had the potential to be that "missing piece" for a while.

It really shows how much faith we had in him to help win us a title with all the "If only we had a fully fit Kewell" comments over the years. That statement has now become a laughable phrase!

It's been a crying shame it didn't work out. I just wonder what sort of club will come in for him with his recent record?

what pissed me off was the things like when the team needed him in the run in but he went to train with the aussies to get his fitness up,the clearing his locker without even a buy to the players or fans...the always just get back into the team goes to aussie land plays a meanless game the out for 6 more months....

best bit of news by far ive had about liverpool since the arrival of torres.....

It is certainly going to free up a bit of money in the wage department. As long as we don't go and waste it on Riera. There is no way he is as good as a fully fit Kewell.
