Anyone fancy a Chelsea - Man United final at the Euros?

I have a tenner on it.

As for the fixtures, away from home again. No surprise, although we really shouldn't have any problems beating Sunderland.

LIVERPOOL start the season away from Anfield for the fifth season in succession - with a trip to Roy Keane's Sunderland.

The Reds must wait until the second Saturday of the season before performing in front of their own fans, against Gareth Southgate’s Middlesbrough.

But the fixture planners appear to have listened to Rafa Benitez’s complaints about away games following Champions League fixtures.

Only two of the Reds six Group stage matches – provided they come through the qualifying round – are followed by fixtures away from home, and one is the short trip to Manchester City.

The eagerly awaited first Manchester United clash of the season comes early – September 13 at Anfield – the first game after the break for England’s World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Croatia.

The first derby match of the season is at Goodison Park, on September 27, while the Reds have a home fixture on Boxing Day against Bolton.

The third round FA Cup date of January 3 means there will be no New Year’s Day fixture this season.

Liverpool end the season at Anfield against Tottenham.

Javier Mascherano’s Argentina, meanwhile, needed a 93rd minute equaliser to salvage a draw with Ecuador in their World Cup qualifier last night.

Mascherano limped off in the second half but manager Alfio Basile declared he was hopeful the Reds ace will be fit for Wednesday’s big clash with Brazil.

“Mascherano was hit in his knee. It hurts a lot, but according to the doctor is not serious,” he said

honestly love the new years day fixture...

wake up with hangover... roast dinner made by birds parents, after dinner lie up and watch the football for the day.

everyone will be back from the Olympics in plenty of time for Man U...
"Football (soccer) at the 2008 Summer Olympics will be held in Beijing and several other cities in the People's Republic of China from August 6 to August 24. Associations affiliated with FIFA are invited to send their full women's national teams and men's U-23 teams to participate. Men's teams are allowed to augment their squad with three players over the age of 23.

For these games, the men will compete in a 16-team tournament, and the women will compete in a 12-team tournament. Football preliminaries actually commence two days before the official opening of the games (August 8), and last right through to closing day."

Due to possible copyright laws, I've had to edit Shaggy's earlier post and delete the fixture list.

The full list can be found here.

Tottenham away for Rafa's first game of his Liverpool career. Cisse opened the scoring and Defoe equalised. 1-1

Thanks for reminding me of that. It felt such a letdown.
                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Yes were away again first but the mancs got hammered this season to be fair.5 out of 6 fixtures after champions league games are away and they also have to play and champions league game in between visits to us and Chelsea.Add to that the super cup and the world club championship moving some of their fixtures and they'll get ****ed around nicely.

Its set up for us this season.

It's not - the European Cup final is the following Wednesday.

What is unusual though is the FA Cup final will be played the weekend following the CL final.
