Admittetdly I'm not living in Liverpool, however I don't really understand this one.

Sure, it's great to see them lose, but what really is there to hate? They're just the small team from across the way.

They're more something to find amusement in than hate IMHO.

Food giants Tesco today revealed plans to join forces with Everton FC and move into the world of football with their own brand of mid-table finishers. Said Bert Krump, head of new product lines, ‘we wanted to provide a cheaper alternative for those football fans that prefer to enjoy their sport without the usual headaches of cup finals, championships, penalty shootouts, and victory parades. We want to help Everton FC continue to provide this valuable service for many more years to come.’ Going on to explain this new development in highstreet retail, Krump explained: ‘Most of our customers think the whole idea of winning takes too much time out of their daily routine and so, by providing ready-packed disappointment in every Tesco store, they can enjoy their football certain that need never have to buy new flags or scarves just to announce things like their team having become European Champions.’

Everton fans responded angrily to news that turnstyles will now be replaced by express checkouts and season tickets replaced by Tesco clubcards. ‘Gutted,’ said Jake Spinach, an Everton fan of twenty years. ‘On matchday, I queued up for an hour to get in the ground. Then they turned me away because I had more than ten items in my basket.’ A tearful Spinach explained: ‘I just got confused. I didn’t realise a cabbage was classed as an item of grocery. I’m more used to them playing defensive midfield.’
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

I don't even understand the article. What exactly are Liverpool not included in?

Does it just mean we're not included in the authors pick of Chelsea's best games?

The article reminds me of Fawlty Towers. The one where Basil Fawlty will not mention the war............

As much as I dislike Manchester United and their myopic fans, one thing you can't argue with is their history, size, and fan base - they are a popular successful club and well run.

Chelsea on the other hand appear to be the worst kind of organisation - brash, manipulative, class-free, supporter-free, with no history.

not over the top but pathetic and hypocritical.

how anyone could wish for a disaster to kill men, women, children, brothers and sisters is beyond me. how anyone who states they support Liverpool football club and will mourn Hillsborough and Hysel just pathetic

if there was similar comments toward Liverpool fans and players they would get the valid classless scum cunt comments

Sure. Don't you think though that's what others may say about their Hillsborough chants?
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

And if 96 fans had been killed by being hit by a bus I wouldn't have said it. There's a difference between talking **** and using a real tragedy.

Not to mention there's not really a large contingent of Chelsea fans here to get offended at it anyways.

I think you need to read back over what was commented on mate. Your post wasn't even mentioned.
