You didn't score against Toulouse though. Veronin played 15 times in the PL last year and scored 5 times - I have heard of worse returns. And as for the players, most of them could do with having a good look at their own performances.

Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

So how the foooook is he good enough for us? Don't want to diss him too badly but the fact is he just has nothing to offer us. We should look to sell him and recoup some of his wages - good luck to him and I hope he proves me wrong but I just cannot see it.
I don't think anyone is under the illusion that Rafa sees him as a first team player so your question isn't all that relevant.

I said first team squad - maybe that makes it a bit more relevant.

sorry - missed that you had included 'squad'

What gets my goat though is that nobody knows the big picture.

If us keeping Voronin and not replacing him with a better (but still back up forward) meant that Rafa had funds to allow him to go for his top target forward, would you still want to get rid of Voronin then?

That Rafa doesn't have a clue does he ?

He should listen to some of us on here because we know better don't we ?

Right now the bottom line is if Torres gets injured we are ****ed. So another top quality striker is a must.

Spurs? Now that is just silly. They have some rubbish in their squad like Dawson, Zakora, Lee, Robinson, Bent, Kaboul, Prince-Boateng etc.

As for Chavs and the Mancs, well even they have a fair bit of dross in their squads too like Eagles, Fletcher Pizzaro, Shevchenko etc.

It would be lovely to have two quality players for each position, but that isn't realistic for us unfortunately. Voronin isn't great, that I can't argue with, but for a free transfer squad filler he isn't that bad.

I would like to know how he does in training compared to the youth/reserve team players we have that train with the first team.

It must be more difficult to recruit young promising players to the club when they look at the situation we are in with players of his standard blocking the route to first team football. I can understand that we do not have a large budget to replace him with someone of higher quality but I like others wish we got rid and promoted the youth players to fill his role in the squad.

                                Great news....Voronin is staying

Hopefully he's had a changed job description and is now the boot cleaner cos he's useless as a centre forward/winger
