I believe in what Rafa's trying to do but we finished 4th last season. We have no chance of improving enough to turn that into first

            Torres clearly thinks we can.

Does it really matter where we finished last season? Look at the points difference between us and Man U, look at how many games we let stupid goals in at the end of the game to draw, look at how many times we drew at home. All these small but important details were our down fall surely if Rafa and his team can bring in the right players and turn some of these draws into wins it doesn't matter what we did the season before?

I'm not saying we will win the league but I am also not going to say we can't just because we finished 4th last season.

I think The Kid's belief is not just in himself but the squad as a whole.

We cut the deficit from 20 points to 11 last year, and now that players like Babel & Skrtel etc have "bedded in", we should be able to close that gap further.

Taking points of the scum, the arse & the chavs is all we need to do and Torres is clearly confident we can. So why not shoot for the moon..!
His armband proved he was a RED. Torres, Torres.

Nonsense, I'm afraid. Whilst Babel and Skrtel have been settling, so have all the new players that our competitors bought last year so they will also be better.

Easier said than done! I can't even remember the last LFC player to even SCORE against Utd!! it hasn't happened under Rafa has it?

The main reason we finished 4th was due to the bad injury spell. Before we lost Agger, Gerrard, Torres and Alonso in a short space of time we were top of the league. Then when we got Skrtel we finished with the most points from there on in.
I have no doubt we can win the league this year with us improving and United, Chelsea and Arsenal losing some of there best players. We really missed attacking full backs last year and that is hopefully sorted. Scored the most goals last season just imagine how many we can score this year if we have more attacking players.

                      *puts on anorak*

Liverpool have scored twice against Manchester United under Rafael Benitez. Once in the Premier League although not by a Liverpool and once in the FA Cup

The scorers: John O Shea o.g. (PL) and Peter Crouch (FA Cup)

                      *takes off anorak*

If Torres gets injured we'll be lucky to get 4th

Well, only in the FA cup (Crouchie)

Didn't we finish 3rd without him twice? Didn't we have our biggest points total in the premier league without him?

So if Ronaldo leaves will United be lucky to finish 4th?

No, because if Ronaldo leaves, SCUM have got the funds to buy suitable replacement matchwinners. We have 2 at best, Gerrard and Torres.

We did finish 3rd without Torres but we had other strikers then. Torres is our only viable striker once Crouch leaves.
