Concur.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostI think our summer budget is a big fat zero.
All our dealings seem to have a net spend of a couple of million (tops) and in selling Pennant we might break even or even make a profit and have a potentially better squad with a better chance of challenging for No.19...
Rafa is the daddy of transfer dealings..!
His armband proved he was a RED. Torres, Torres.

£2.5m according to this article from the Times.
Edit - And this one from the Mail too.
Reckon that's about a fair price really.Last edited by MrMichael; 11-07-08, 09:52 PM.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

Seems a reasonable price. I hope that's not including future payments based on appearances or anything.Originally posted by MrMichael View Post£2.5m according to this article from the Times.

Also we should put in sell on clauses etc on all young players we sellThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That appears to put this summers spendings around 7-8million in the black, if we do offload Carson, Pennant, Itandje, that will be around the 20 mil we supposedly need for Keane. Then the Barry deal probably depends on Xabi going, no big loss if it doesn't go through imo and it would also be funny to see o'neil left with an unhappy player after he ****ed up his moveOriginally posted by MrMichael View Post£2.5m according to this article from the Times.

DANNY Guthrie, a big hit with Bolton fans last season, has joined Newcastle United on a four-year contract.
The Shrewsbury-born, Liverpool midfielder spent 2007-2008 on loan at the Reebok Stadium.
And he soon caught the eye with his all action displays.
Manager Gary Megson hinted at trying to bring him back to Wanderers from Anfield.
But Kevin Keegan has stepped in with the long-term deal and a reported £4m transfer fee.

"Kevin is a legend and it is going to be very exciting for me to see what I can learn from him," said the popular Guthrie.
"I learned a lot playing in the Premier League for Bolton last season and I expect more from myself next season.
"I cannot wait to get started. I just want to do well for Newcastle."
Keegan said: "Danny proved himself in the Premier League last season so we know he can play at that level.
"He's at the right age and is a good signing for us.""The definition of insanity is not running into the same wall again and again; it's expecting a different result every time you do it."
