    End of the day some people find it important enough, others dont. I can tell you what would be worse though and thats having a disgruntled player. Someone who wont perform at their best or care for the club. You want to keep a player of quality, you keep them happy. If its 2 weeks for the olympics once in their entire career, I'd say thats an extremely small price to pay.

      It's not a huge price to pay, providing it goes off without anything going wrong injury-wise. It's inconvenient and the Dutch FA should pay his wages for the duration.

      And he should be sat on the bench when he returns, until he's earned a recall to the side.

        Considering the **** we have as backup for him, we'd just be shooting ourselves in the foot if we benched him.
