Why not just be pleased? He is quality player and will work great alongside the top notch players we already have. No reason why we can't challenge this year. And he is at melwood today so he pretty much has signed.

Reina, Carra, Dossena, Agger, Skrtle, Aurelio, Lucas, Alonso, Mascher, Babel, Kuyt, Gerrard, Keane, Torres

You telling that core squad can't win the league? Robbie Keane will have a massive impact. It will result in 15 league goals from him, probably 10 assist and i believe his workrate will help our midfielders score more goals. Thats the key for me, we will get more goals out of Kuyt, Babel, Mascher, Lucas, and Gerrard

The problem as I see it with that squad is that we have about 7/8 top quality players - the obvious gap is full-backs who attack and defend. Our team is desperate for these, and Aurelio ain't the answer and we can't be sure Dossena is. It still bothers me that we haven't addressed the problem of beating teams who put 10 men behind the ball and sit there waiting for a mistake......

We must have spent £7.5m on Dossena for a reason so lets give him the benefit of the doubt for now

I honestly understand where you are coming from, but this guy is the real deal. Prem defenders over the last 10 years have yet to work him out - he can produce the unexpected.

I really have nothing but good feelings about this. He is a striker of the highest quality IMO and one who has been criminally underrated over the years.

He has his recognition now with this big money move and I expect him to raise his game next season.

He scores some cracking goals.

Good times, 4 year deal. Proven Premiership player and the type of player who can play well with Torres. May have cost us, but think it'll definitely be worth it.

The BBC are also reporting that the fee is £20.3 altogether and we've made a donation to the Spurs charity in leiu of them dropping that stupid complaint
