ROBBIE Keane will wear the inconic number 7 shirt for Liverpool FC when he runs out for the Reds, he revealed in an exclusive interview with the ECHO.
Keane said he would not have left Tottenham to join any club other than Liverpool.
The lifelong Liverpudlian put the finishing touches to his "dream" £20m move from White Hart Lane to Anfield yesterday and is now looking forward to challenging for trophies with his boyhood heroes.
The Dubliner, who will wear the number 7 shirt associated with Reds legends Kenny Dalglish, Kevin Keegan, Ian Callaghan and Peter Beardsley – thanked Spurs for not standing in the way of the transfer and insisted he will never forget the way he was looked after by the London club.
"I couldn't have left Tottenham for any other club," he said.
