Agree there, and think he will. Bet he gets his first 5 goals in the first 5 games.

Keano chants at the match night.

Quite a funny crowd people clapping during YNWA when there still a verse left.

Also people taking pictures of themselves while the match is on.

Keane - The goals will come

Goals will come vows new Liverpool FC star Robbie Keane

Aug 13 2008 by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo

ROBBIE KEANE today insisted he is not concerned by his goalless start to his Liverpool career and backed himself to start scoring now the "real business" is set to begin.

Keane is expected to start his first competitive game for the Reds in tonight's Champions League qualifier at Standard Liege.

And although he has failed to hit the target in any of the four pre-season friendlies he has featured in since joining Liverpool in a £20m transfer from Spurs, the 28-year-old believes it is only a matter of time before he starts hitting the back of the net.

"I'm not bothered about not scoring, that's not something which has ever concerned me and I'm not going to start now," he said.

"Of course it would have been nice to get my first goal in a red shirt because that's something I'm looking forward to, but pre-season is about getting fit and making sure you're ready for the proper stuff, so I'm not worried.

"When it comes down to it, goals scored in pre-season don't really count. They don't go on your career record and they don't get you any points.

"The proper games are what really count and that's what tonight's game is all about.

"The real business is about to start and hopefully I'll prove that I'm ready because, like all the lads, I've been working really hard.

"I'm sure the goals will come and if it's not tonight then hopefully it will be in the next game, but I won't be worrying about it. The important thing is that the team does well and we've got a tough game on our hands tonight because Standard Liege are the champions of Belgium and I'm sure they'll be up for this one."

Keane has never played in the Champions League and he is hoping that tonight's first leg will give Liverpool the kind of platform they need to make it into the group stages.

He is also in no doubt whatsoever that the move to Anfield was the right one for him.

"It is playing in games like tonight which is one of the big reasons why I joined Liverpool," he said.

"Hopefully there will be more big games to come but if that's to happen we are going to have to get through this tie first."

Reds boss Rafa Benitez is backing Keane to form a partnership with Fernando Torres to rival any pairing in Europe.

"I think the two strikers are top class and on the same level as anyone," he said.

"If they play together a lot, I think they can go on and get better and better.

"If you ask me, I would prefer them to have played together more in pre-season, but Torres came back late and we only signed Keane recently, so it wasn't ideal.

"Both players are clever and it is clear that if they play together for a long time, it will be easier for them to develop an understanding."

Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard came through last night's training session unscathed and is fit to take his place in the starting line up for tonight's game if required.

No goals AT ALL so far, he's failed us in all the big games already, what a total waste of money!

It's a crucial season for Keane. He has to prove himself or he's out.

"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

very ****e querstion to put to him, who cares about pre season goals? perfect case in point is Darren Bent, scored something like 13 goals in 6 games and is suddenly being spoken of as a possible call up to the England squad!!! I'm sure Robbie Keane will do the business for us throughout this season andfor the rest of his LFC career.
