    Boring, yeah my life is so dull :-) The convincing on your part may be determined by seeing if anyone else actually wants to muck out farm animals

      i think the rules are something like;

      -the player has to have played in 70% of his countries gammes over the last 2 years
      -or the player must be a exceptional talent
      -the country has to be in the top xxx places in fifa's ranking (cant remember what the number is)

      Leto only ticks the box of the last criteria

        He was never going to get a work permit.

        Makes it sound as though his passport has definitely be ruled void. Pity. Gary Ablett rates him as one of the best in the reserves.

            Italian passports are the fast track to the gold mine that is european football. Apparently, there was a company that does family research to see if you are entitled. I guess they wanted Leto's money more than they wanted to tell him he didn't qualify. Sounds like there are 100s of invalid passports out there.

                          Why didn't we loan him to a side in Belgium for two years? He'd be guaranteed able to come back then with a european passport.

                          Not sure if the same applys to Greece though in all honsety.
                          Forwards.......

                            I think I'm being stupid, so forgive me, but aren't Greece in the EU?

                              Good point. I guess work permit rules are country specific.

                                Yeah they are country specific, most european countries have much less strict policies than UK, hence the number of uncapped south americans in spain
                                The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
