That is infuriating but I think I would have been tempted to loan him out for his own development anyway. If we loan him and sell Pennant though we do start to look in need of genuine wide players to bring off the bench - which with the new expanded bench could have been a real boon for games where we are having no joy.

Can't we send him on loan to some club in Belgium for two years then he qualifies for an EU passport, isn't that what the scum do?

I think the fact that the Belgian league is **** has counted against the likes of Dong who have gone their a little bit later in their career. Wenger uses that system very well for very young players but those who are 19/20/21 in my opinion are likely to regress or at least stagnate while waiting.

With ref work permits tho - it is strange how for example - the uk won't issue a work permit for a professional footballer, who has a career set out in front of him and the potential to be earning thousands of £££'s a week, yet he can't get in - but there is polish workers running all over building sites!

Rafa always talks about game intelligence but from what iv seen of Leto he has none. He is capable of beating a player or 2 but afterwards he doesnt know what to do with the ball. His delivery is poor and his decision making is also poor. I def don't think he could cut in the premiership at this stage.

So in my opinion its a blessing. Let him go on loan somewhere, he aint good enough at the moment

I have made work permit applications here for staff, bottom line is you have to show no one in the Uk or EU can do the "job" the applicant is applying for. Also for footballers they are i think supposed to play a min of games in the 1st team and have x amount of international caps. Work permits are all about fulfilling the criteria rather than opinion and bias.

Sounds like you have a pretty boring job.

It's all BS. I managed to convince the US that no-one in the USA could do as good a job as I
