also, i think we have the most potential out of the top 4 teams to improve
definately, when you think that arsenal - although still a quality outfit - have basically been weakened this summer by selling hleb and failing to buy proven quality to replace him, and that chelski have bought more unnecessary midfielders - there whole midfield will consist of past their peak central players - we have the best opportunity to challenge utd. if utd fail to land a striker this summer i will feel more optomistic about this season than i have since the year after we finished 2nd.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

although to be honest i think arsenal were badly hit by rosicky and eduardo getting injured at the wrong time last season....and gallas pulling a wobbler at the birmingham game..... also, i think nasri could turn out brilliantly for them (maybe not straight away though) and denilson and diaby could finally turn into good midfielders, like flamini finally did last year....

i actually think that arsenal and liverpool will improve a lot next year. Chelsea will still be strong but i just don't see the same hunger that they had in the first 2 mourinho seasons.... united will be disrupted by the ronaldo ****e in my view and they have not have had the best of pre-seasons in my view... also, think scholes played great for them last season and he is surely going to find it hard to replicate that. Also, i do feel that rooney is going to have a great season one of these years but it will be interesting to see how he gets on after getting married, and having a ****e preseason as well..... i reckon united could start poor enough to be honest and i am happy that we have them at anfield early on in the season.... obviously over the season they will be strong but hopefully we can get a good start and kick on from that......

as another thread stated last week, the first 6 games will be crucial

It was a nothing game, some nice football, nothing spectacular. No-one was busting a gut, except maybe Dirk Kuyt. Dossena looks really good, Plessis was composed, but a bit too negative. Spearing was quality for the short time he was on the pitch. Voronin is a legend - must be worth £20m+ at today's rates.

Weird atmosphere - still can't believe half the Kop shouted "Keano". Embarrassing or what?

No ****ing joke mate, I couldn't believe my ears. I don't know why or how - someone needs to say something. Seriously. Surely we're capable of avoiding that and coming up with something more appropriate?

We are always crap during pre-season friendlies. I dont think Rafa pays any heed to them. HE already knows who he is going to pick, baring injuries and dips in form. These games are for fitness.

Its nice to spank everyone duing the preseaon, but its more imortant to have an injury free squad. Its down to Rafa to make sure they get a rhythm going in training.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

                        Yep - totally agree!
We don't stand a chance, these early run outs say it all.

Sack Rafa, Parry and sell up!
Lets all go support someone else!

i'm glad these forums weren't around in the late 70's and 80's,because if i remember right we were poor in those pre season games back then.
                          who's arsed?

All will be good this year - 2 trophies for sure, one of which we have won many times before!
