imo we should be top or damn near it by then if as has happened before we are to all intents out of the race it will be a nightmare

Options are a bit extreme

we can either win the premiership or not but finish 2nd "easily".

I think we'll be within 7 points at the end of the season, whilst Manure lose out to Chelsea by 3 or 4 points.

I don't see a great improvement as we've no real quality additions to the midfield this summer.

not necessarily a left winger but more just a creative attacking player. we have benni who is a decent option and obviously babel who i reckon will show how good he can be this year but were missing that extra something that the other big four seem to possess. ronaldo, nani, giggs, joe cole, deco, rosicky ( previously hleb ). we need a player like these named players to really push for the league IMO.

It depends on the attackers sharing the goals around. Torres, Keane and Gerrard will all score consistently but will we be over reliant on them. Kuyt has to chip in regularly and Babel has to step it up this year. This myth that Barry would have would have gave us goals from midfield and assists from set pieces does not wash with me. He would not have taken penalties and we are crap at set pieces even when a good delivery comes in. If we dont challenge it will be down to goals not coming from the wide areas.

We needed to sign a Pires type. Somebody with a goalscoring instinct and a bit of magic.
Last summer Rafa spent ages trying to sign Heinze and did not get him and this year the same with Barry. Pity he did not spend as much effort trying to get a wide player.
