So are you trying to start an OOT v locals debate here?Originally posted by Rashid View PostSo where are all the locals who "can't normally get tickets"?
I think the reason for the tickets being available will be the fact that the ticket exchange scheme has been introduced.
Season ticket holders may not be able to get to the game because of holidays and such like at this time of year. I am not going today as I only got back from Cornwall early hours of this morning and my Dad is not going as we have a family wedding (if I could have made it I would have missed the wedding tbh).
As for tickets available in pubs, these guys don't advertise their spares in the Echo you know??

Well sort of on this subject, someone asked why there were empty seats in our end at the Sunderland game, this was why...
A standing joke to Reds away fans
NOT so good from Sunderland was their decision to reduce the ticket allocation available to Liverpool fans because of persistent standing in the same fixture last season.
The yawning gaps in the away end were there for all to see, particularly when Fernando Torres scored, and will have been picked up upon by rival fans up and down the country who probably believe Liverpool failed to sell their allocation.
The truth was Sunderland reduced their allocation by 600 tickets in adherence with their strict no standing policy.
It is difficult to complain because Sunderland make it clear to all who visit the Stadium of Light that they will not tolerate persistent standing.
But what can be complained about is the fact the home fans, situated right next to the away end, have also been guilty of persistent standing on each occasion the Reds have visited in recent seasons but haven't seen their allocation reduced.
If Sunderland are going to continue enforcing zero tolerance policies they can't afford such double standards.
