Would think Yossi being replaced by Babel would be more of an impact sub. Bringing on the slowest player in the world who can pick out a great pass; it's a difficult call.

Carra for Arbeloa as Carra will offer more against Young, with the more pacy Skrtel and Agger in the middle to take care of Agbong...and Skrtel to power through Carew!

You saved me typing out my team. I have a suspicion that Sami will start, if fit, in place of Agger. I think Aurellio deserves to start after the SL game, but I agree that Dossena will start.

Should be enough there to beat Villa.

Dossena was reputed to have been Serie A's best left back last season and, as you say, we blasted £8m on him. As much as I like Aurelio, Dossena should play. The sooner he beds himself in the better.

I don't think the players fees should determine who starts. I want to see a settled back 4 and I don't really care who ends up in it so long as they are there because they are playing well.

I do agree that Dossena was bought to be first choice and I really hope he does step up but he should get his chances on merit not simply because we paid good money for him. Villa are a good side and as such it is not a game in which to play someone who needs bedding in ideally.

I think Aurelio could be used on the left side of midfield; we have a massive width problem and Benayoun looks totally lost out there. At least we would have a natural left-footer on that side, and one who can cross a ball at that.
