They tried in vain to contact both Moores and Parry who refused to answer their calls/emails so they could make arrangements.

The next thing Dubai were told is that George Gillett had approached Davind Moores and under the advice from Rick Parry told Dubai he was obliged to show the new offer to the board.

Dubai reacted angrily to this and due to Moores going back on his word and the rumours that Parry had been contacting Gillett informing of the Dubai bid etc Sheikh Maktoum pulled out of making a bid and we now have the current owners in place.

Dubai should have countered with a larger offer but whether you think he acted wrong honour is a big thing to the Sheikh and he did not take too kindly for it.

DIC are now out of the equation but Dubai Holding are still there but from what im told things need to get worse before Dubai will make their intentions known although just how bad i do not know.

I fully expect Liverpools name to be dragged through the mud more over the next few weeks as the owners continue to humilate us again.

It was DIC who made the last bid that included 60 million profit for doing nothing for the 2 cnuts. If DIC are no longer interested that would mean there is no longer a bid on the table for the Yanks to accept even if they wanted to sell up now.The main reason for them staying was the promise of bigger profits to be had from a sale once the stadium was built.Since they can't now build it and with their loan needing re-financing in 5 months time I would suggest this is a bad as its going to get unless Dubai are waiting until the banks tell the yanks they can't have an extension to the loans in January.

Well you're the analyst but based on recent gains by the $ against the £ and € I'm speculating that the price will remain stable over the next few months.

Whether DIC come in or not he does have one year to challenge or face the sack. I don't expect to win the league but if we are trailing as badly as last year and playing crap football he will be gone whoever the owners are.

Having said that if we change one set of businessmen for another I would expect him to go whatever.

Does anyone remember the times when the only thing a liverpool supporter had to worry about was what happens ON THE FIELD! I would give my left bollock for it to be like that again.

Money has destroyed the working classes sport and turned it into a rich mans game. A sad sad day indeed

If he has the financial backing and a stable backroom staff and team around him then thats the correct thing to do...Would DIC dare though? Wasn't one of there promises that they would stand by Rafa?

Isn't that the current situation anyway? Unless he wins the European Cup again, I'd have thought anything less than seriously challenging until mid-April this year would put him at severe risk of the sack. And probably rightly so.

Yes, what you say is rubbish. Most don't offer their opinion on a player the way this lot have done in the case of Barry. A board may say that there isn't enough money available for example, but they don't say, 'Naaaah, we don't rate him...' and thus undermine and humiliate the manager the way our lot have.

DIC tried in vain to buy the club last time but their take over strategy expired this summer.

Sheikh Maktoum wants to own the club but people need to realise with Dubai it is also business and they will wait whilst the owners and Liverpool are even worse off then they are now before making their move.

Gillett and Hicks wont 'asset strip' the club as at the end of the day it would drastically harm future sales but Dubai will come back on for the club but it maybe when we are at our lowest when that happens.

                        From the BBC Gossip

Liverpool's American owners are facing a new threat after being told they have to pay back their £350m loan within six months, rather than the 18 they were hoping for. (News of the World)

The club's future is also in danger after George Gillett and Tom Hicks failed to get the necessary funding in place for their new 73,000-seater stadium, which has been delayed by up to a year. (Sunday Express)

The first piece may explain the second, there is apparently something in one of the articles about takeover, yet again!

                        Anyone seen the full articles?

At the end of the day they made a terrible decision but after all the bull**** and lies the yanks promised who can say they wouldnt have made the same decision? Its ****ing easy to criticize others decisions when the hardest thing you have to decide each and every day is whether to give that fit bird extra fries.

Moores allowed someone to take control of a much loved asset that his family had owned and loved for years. His vetting process of that "someone"?
There wasn't one apparently. "Oh he seemed quite nice and I thought it would be OK". The man is a ****in' bell end. That doesn't excuse G&H's behaviour but Moores has to carry the can surely?
