Aye i think we'll get beat too like.
We're playing United afterall, a mixture of the Liverpool players bottling it and United's good fortune always makes for a certain outcome - a United win."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

they were not excellent against portsmouthOriginally posted by magicalbarnes View PostYour wrong there. ManU were excellent against Portsmouth at Fratton Park - totally dominated the game. The 1-0 scoreline flattered Portsmount._____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

in this sort of situation we need someone to motivate the players to get them really up for this match. Unfortunately rafa's not a motivator.Originally posted by Marky View PostRe Manc scum at home...Gerrard and Torres out, yet more criticism of Rafa & team after the performance at Villa.
Is this the sort of match where the lads can dig in to **** and make themselves heroes for a day or two?
We havent beaten them cunts at home in the league for a long time, too long.
Instead he will focus on the tactics and this battle rafa has lost against ferguson many times already.
We will lose again.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

possibly, or we could be six clear of them (albeit with a game in hand) and still top of the table with a massive psychological boost.Originally posted by Chrono View PostI hate to be a miserable ******* but we are going to catch a spanking

I think we`ll squeeze adraw.Without Torres and Gerrard we`ll need to be cautious and hopefully hit them on the break. The Gung-ho approach as much as I `d like to see it would be suicide against the best team in England(It kills me to type that but at the moment it`s true). It`s time to take two points of them and keep up with them until Torres,Gerrard,Babel,Lucas and Mascher are fit and Dosser,Degen and Reira are settled in.

But they don't have their 'one player'. So why would it be sending a message?Originally posted by slimbimjim View PostPlus Berbatov to contend with now. I think we can define our season and send a message that we are not a two player team (better than one player).
Alternatively, we could be made like amateurs.

Strangely enough, I think we've missed Crouchie a bit this season. Neither Torres nor Keane have held the ball up very well and are frequently dispossessed, so we don't see enough of the ball up front. I fear that with Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov the scum will keep the ball well - although without Ronaldo they don't have many runners from midfield to make it count (apart from Scholes). We've got to work on passing and moving in the final third because at the moment teams sit off us and pretty much let Masch and Alonso (or our full-backs) have the ball knowing we can't hurt them much. I can't remember the last time I saw us pass to a front-man who then turned his defender and caused havoc in the opposition penalty area - the ball just pings back or goes out wide or gets lost. So, as you can see, I'm not overly hopeful of us doing much against Ferdinand and Vidic without Fernando and Stevie..........

Our squad seems to be in a bit of a disarray, players coming and going on interntaional duty, getting injured, sold and others brought in. Most key players missed a chunk of preseason as well.
I think we'll be lucky to get a point, but we can put a team out now with considerable widht though.
Arbeloa - Carra - Agger - Dossena
Pennant- Lucas - Alonso - Riera
-----------Keane -Kuyt
If Mascher is playing in S-America thursday morning I doubt he'll play the mancs, leaving us a little light. Man City already have a similiar squad I think.Last edited by The_weatherman; 02-09-08, 11:20 AM.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I would`t play Babel ahead of Keane.I`m not sure about Babels fitness after being left out of the Euro`s and playing badly in the Olympics.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostIf worst comes to worst and Gerrard AND Torres are out, we could play...
---------Babel
Riera----Keane---Kuyt
----Alonso--Masher
Dossena-JC-MS-Arbeloa
---------Reina
That side is at the very least capable of securing a point.

Out of all the predicted teams listed i far prefer anfieldanfields selection, that to me has the right mix of defensive qualities, width and pace and a genuine goal threat. Thats my team selection right there.
Theres absolutely not a single chance in hell that Rafa will pick it though.
