Not saying it shouldn't count, but if it counts we should also count the january window for other teams and us as well (I think we signed him in february).

Yeah, why not. Just seen an article posted that hasn't included his purchase. I could care less to be honest but a 17M purchase affects your summer budget, naturally.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

          LOL at Arsenal.

They are in more danger than we are of dropping out of the top 4.
          Oh I don't know.

              I don't understand?

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Definately. If we'd count 2008 purchases for all teams we'd be a bit higher up the list. We are maybe buying too many players all in all though.

Skrtel, Keane, Dossena, Degen, Cavalieri, N'gog and Riera are newcomers this year. And outgoings count Momo, Finnan, Riise, Crouch, Kewell, Voronin of which four were heaviliy involved in first team duty.

Last year we saw Torres, Babel, Benni, Voronin, Itandje and Lucas join with several others on their way like Bellamy, Fowler, Dudek, Garcia, and Zenden amongst others.

On top of that Rafa had offers for Benni, Pennant, Hyypia and Xabi this year. I think there is no wonder the team hasn't clicked and looks a bit disjointed. Rafa need to inject some stability and security/trust in the squad.

I am starting to think we are buying to many players. Rafa has built a squad big enough and young enough to hold us in good stead for quite a while. If we buy 5-6 first team players in the next 12 months I will start to lose faith in Rafa, yes even me

We are now in a position where we should concentrate on one or 2 players for the first team. By all means bring in more kids if they are good enough as I am sure some will shipped each season.

I agree, there is far too much chopping and changing going on, I'd like us to focus on right fullback and attacking options and only buy players from the top end of the market, use the young players if we need to as squaddies.

Villa have got a proper owner who hasn't bought the club for leverage. He's building villa properly and funding it in a way that the cunts who own us never will.

I lurk and watch with despair the direction the yanks are taking the club in.

They are hemeoraging important players (Flamini, Kleb etc) and not replacing them. Their kids aren't good enough yet. I have an Arsenal friend and he's fearing the worst too.

While Wenger is still there, they still shouldn't be written off though.

If we get taken over by a new super rich owner I would expect the first names on Rafa's wishlist to be Aguero and Alves.
