Growing up in Ireland everybody use to have Celtic as their "Scottish/2nd team (obvious reasons) including my brothers, but I never liked the thought of it. Liverpool all the ****in way!

The question isn't Who is your second team in the poll, but "Which Premier League club do you look out for when LFC aren't playing?" which to me is a BIG difference.

You can look out for United and hope that they lose... so I'm not so surprised of the results.

Newcastle are the most popular 'second team' among Liverpool fans, according to our online poll.
A total of 12.2 per cent who took part selected the Magpies as their next favourite team in the Barclays Premier League.

Arsenal were close behind with 12 per cent, followed by Tottenham with 10 per cent.

The least picked side was Bolton, with Middlesbrough, West Brom, Stoke and Wigan also struggling.

Now this tells me that some people have United and the Bitters as their second teams.

My 2nd team and has been since I was 7 and used to get hauled there by my Dad, who is a blue but lived in Wigan at the time so would take me to Springfield Park to see some 'cheap footy'.

My uncle used to take me to Liverpool , 1st game being when I was 3, hence me being a Red
