I'd start him. Babel hasn't done enough to earn a start IMO and still his best performances come from the bench. Riera's mere presence will give us so much more width. Although I was totally and utterly nonplussed by his performances for City, the one thing he always offered was natural width. A bit of a line-hugger.

We could play them both. Wont happen but Babel could play up front with Keane (presuming Nando is crocked). Or possibly Babel on the right but Rafa's golden boy Dirkie surely wouldnt be dropped!?!?
Bit harsh on Babel he's only just back from the Olympics and with his assist against Liege saved us the possibility of an ignominious exit from the CL.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

if kuyt was dead, rafa would have arbeloa and robbie keane carry him around "weekend at bernies"-styleOriginally posted by Ben_Itez View PostWe could play them both. To be honest we have heard it all before.......blah blah blah
In todays game its VERY rare that a gem is pulled out from nowhere, and I dont believe Rafa has done anything this season to show that he can spot one and bring it to the club....
I am waiting to be pleasantly surprised, but I will expect nothing

thought crossed my mind.Originally posted by PoolG View PostIs it just me or does anyone else think Robinho thinks he's joined Man united rather than City
He even got them mixed up with Chelsea in and interview after he signed
bit like when ravanelli singed for boro, then said where do they playIts times like these we learn to live again FF

the epl is not the place for shrinking violets and im not sure he's going to get the arm round the shoulder softly softly approach that he seems to like.
the united game is also a bad game to start him in because its going to be 100% effort and tackles flying all over. If he ****s up and gives the ball away god save him from carra and his evil satan stare.
He might have played in the manc derby last time he was over.
