I know, but my point is why say he should 'shut his gob' rather than just comment on how you don't think it was a good idea to make those comments?

as for the name calling towards sarb, rashid and myself if you haven't seen it then i really don't know what to say to you.

I didn't say I'd not seen any - was just you made it sound like one particular person was hounding you and I was wondering who.

i'm sure our performances upto xmas will have a significant impact on how this debate continues. there are plenty of posters on here who are neither pro or anti rafa who's views imo will hold sway as the season develops.
I honestly don't see how anyone can be fervently pro or anti-Rafa at this stage. I've got my own criticisms of him but at the same time I see us keeping pace, see signs of the right kind of football appearing and know we have the players to perform to a much higher standard than we have of late. This is a crunch season for Rafa, but then they all are.

the main problem that i see with getting rid of rafa if we dont come close to the league this year is that if we get another manager in with different methods to rafa, we end up back to square 1 and no further then we were in 2004 when rafa took over. Rafa is building something special here imo with our youth academy and the team that he is building now. Yes he has made mistakes but he has took us a lot further then we thought possible with GH. We have a great spine in our first team now (Reina, Carra, Mascher, Gerrard, Keane, Torres) and then we have players like Skrtel, Agger, Dossena, Alonso, Lucas, Babel, Kuyt who are all great players IMO who i know can and will do a job for us.

All we are missing is the ability to sign a top top player when they become available because rafa doesn't know how much money he's gonna have from one day to the next. If the two ******s **** off and get someone like DIC in who can give us that financial comfort then i REALLY believe Rafa can bring us the title.

If rafa went after this season and brought a new manager in, he would want to put his mark on the squad and get rid of what HE thinks is surplus to how he plays, that could be god knows how many players, including staff and youth players. This means starting over with new tactics that can take time to get across to players and also means that the new manager would be working off a low budget so he would have to bring in cheaper players just like rafa has been doing.

what im trying to say is that even though rafa has done things wrong he seems to be doing things right for the long term and a lot more faith should be put in him

Has Rafa still spent (net) more than Alex the rednosed cunt after the Berbatov signing?

          If yes

          - has he spent enough extra to make up the 30 point deficit? and how much is Tevez going to cost?

Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

In fairness he uses SAF and the S could stand for anything... I've got a few suggestions but their mostly unprintable...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                  Does he now.

Oh well, I am still pretty happy with that edit, one of my best.

Have always liked using "Slur" for it due to his alcho problems.

Not sure that means much in the big scheme of things. Is Steve Coppell a better manager than Rafa?

Too right. I hope we win and the cream would be Keane scoring.

I'd expect him to "challenge" for the league in his 2nd season - he didn't take long to transform Barcelona a team that hadn't won anything in 5 years and were in the Uefa Cup with Houllier's Liverpool! This 5 years to challenge is a ridiculous underachievement.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never heard or read anywhere other than when Gerard was in charge of 5 year plans.
