Load of bollocks. At the start of any season it takes time to get going and thats a fact. None of the top teams are playing well at the moment yet we are sitting top of the league

Since the 1st leg against Inter Milan at anfield last season which was Feb 19 if i recall, we played some very good attacking football and had great form compared to our rivals. We scored a fantastic amount of goals and confortably walked over teams. I enjoyed many good games towards the end of last season and i believe that this season we will improve further and further
People will only see what they want to see, this thread should tell everyone that, not one person has changed their opinion in the slightest, everyone is adamant that what they are talking about is correct, and can't understand why the hell others can't see it. Typical Of Football.

How long does it take Fabio Capello to win league titles wherever he goes? We have historically been soft at board level under Moores - there is not a chance in hell any big club (apart from us) would allow 5 years each to pass on successive managers to mount a title challenge.

If it were that easy, yep sack Rafa, get Rijkaard in. We'd be right up there for the league in a 2 or 3 seasons? I doubt it.

Personally I think a change of manager would be a disaster. Keegan? No offence, but I'm not going to expend calories answering that. Would Rijkaard work on the limited (limited compared to Chavski, the Scum, and now Man City) funds he'd be given? As people love to point out re. Rafa, the Premiership is not La Liga.

I expect Rafa to challenge for the title. I expect it soon. But right now I think we're still progressing and as long as that continues he's the man for job.

Every Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd fan i know (and that's quite a few in total) desperately want Benitez to stay at Liverpool.

            That does also say something.

Rijkaard won 2 La Liga's and 1 Champions League spending less money than Rafa has here in his 4 years there. I am not saying he is better but he isn't to be sniffed especially when you consider the shambles he inherited and the type of football he had them playing in the end.

United fans bought out T-Shirts begging for him to stay at the time the yanks wanted him gone. Every Arsenal and United fan joking aside do no rate Rafa at all.

I fully expect United fans to take the piss out of rafa and chelsea fans too.

But as you say, even joking/banter aside, in all seriousness, the ones i know were DESPERATE for him to stay, they werent pisstaking, they just didnt want us to get anyone who they perceived might deliver a title challenge for LFC. They genuinely arent worried about us with Rafa at the helm.

Yep, I saw that too. They were petrified of us getting Mourinho - he was out of a job at the time. (I'd hate Mourinho here by the way due to his style of play)

Have to say, i wouldnt say no to Mourinho if or when Rafa goes. I dislike some things about him, but i just cant imagine him failing.

But we're still not comparing like for like.
Let's see him do it in the PL with a team that's 30 points off the pace, barely given the money to keep up with the big boys and a **** exec meaning he hardly ever get's his transfer targets.

If that happenned I'd never watch football again. It would be too heartbreaking.

No one man is bigger than the club though and for what it's worth, it wouldnt break my heart to see him win us the title.

It has been discussed before that is was his assistant that really set the template for success.

Perhaps the same can be said for Paco?
