It is so obviously done by a Manc and the figures are just plainly aimed to make us and Chelsea look bad while those c**ts good. They have Deco added in twice for Chelsea and use the top value rated in the papers for Liverpool players. While for their own shower of ****e they use the lowest figures.
How anyone can believe any of these NET spend figures I dont know, would be great to see a proper one but we all know that will never happen.

Of course it is, plus the wages have been increasing as a whole, obviously inflation hits footballers harder than normal people. But I'd rather be paying Mascher 60.000 a week than Dudek or Babel 40.000 instead of Diao (figures estimated but Dudek was on a skyhigh wage).

We can also sell them on as other clubs would also be prepared to take on these wages.

According to this we are paying less than Arsenal who are supposed to be tight arses and we don't hold a candle compared to Chelsea or even United. There the stadium and ownership comes in. If we don't get rid of the Yanks I think we'll develop into a top 6 side.

I tried it using a fully up to date Avira and no issues.

To be fair our lack of knowledge makes the whole argument a bit ludicrous. Why not include wages? Surely they influence the players that you can get in a similar way to transfer fees? To discount them as part of the overall financial picture seems a very odd position to hold.

Actually wages have always been an issue, specially with Houllier's leftovers, players like Cisse, Biscan, Diao, Cheyrou, Diouf, Kewell and Dudek were signed on huge wages and were a real millstone on Rafa early on. He couldn't sell them as no-one wanted them and we were paying them a fortune in wages, I mean Diao was loaned to Stoke FFS.

I would like to see comparisons of the wage bill for 2007 versus 2003 or 2004.

I refuse to believe Paul Tomkins if that is where the figures are from, he is the worst type of journalist in the world, a totally biased whopper when it comes to Liverpool (which is fine but wrong as a journo) and he is a friend of mine away from bloody forums. In short, doesn't know the figures anymore than anybody else.

Including you. Yet you are happy to use these "facts" as a basis to slate Rafa time and again. This is why you are derided by so many.

Well in for saying that. I may also be wrong for which I apologise.

The thing is whatever the figures, we can't disagree that Rafa has spent a lot of money.

No one is disagreeing as far as I can see but most also take into account the ****e he had to start with and appreciate that he has indeed had to overhaul the vast majority of the squad.

You seem to think that wasn't required and that is where your argument falls very flat, IMO.
